I'm not going to be surprised if we don't do anything, however I'm going to be disappointed when Nurk and RoCo walk away in the offseason for nothing.

I’d be astonished if the Blazers stand pat. At a bare minimum, they have to get under the LT threshold. RoCo it’s almost certain to be traded because of his ending contract and the fact that he’s so marketable. The same could be said of Nurk, but the plan may be to re-sign him. I’m not surprised at all that nothing has happened yet. It’s always the last few days before deals are struck. Teams are still playing chicken with each other right now.

nurk wants to stay and the only way he walks is if he doesnt get enough money

this season is lost, whether we bring dame back or not, so if we dont trade nurk, it could very well mean they plan to re-sign him

im guessing there is at least one franchise that would trade for him now, so if the blazers have no interest in re-signing him, they should trade him for whatever they can get, if its 2nd round pick or some solid player, so be it

Retool Serge Ibaka Eric Beldsoe for CJ McCollum free up some cap I year on Ibaka and 2 years on Bledsoe. Unload 150 Mil on CJ contract and owe only 25 mil on remaining contract for Ibaka and Bledsoe.

cj may not be a top tier trade prospect, but he’s not a negative asset. He should fetch at least a first and a decent player.

howard beck said on his pod that Morey is asking for way more in actual trade talks with teams than what he's leaking to the media. It apparently doesn't even seem like a real negotiation.

One executive apparently said, "Daryl is trying to get a package for Simmons that is twice what Houston got for Harden."

This guy... I have people in my fantasy leagues who pull this shit. They're the first to not get invited for subsequent seasons. I want nothing more than this to blow up in his face.

It's possible he's been planning all along to wait until after the season.

this is the epitome of cutting off his nose to spite face. And there are no legitimate avenues to land better players in the summer.

People here, who want Simmons and his all world defense, are gonna lose their collective shit when you see what Philly gets for him. We could easily do better

    Ramona echoing what Beck said:

    https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-trade-...src=rss&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

“The value is … there are a lot of teams who want him, but I don’t know there’s anybody who thinks we can’t live without him. They certainly don't value him at the level Philly has wanted in trade packages.”

"And so you've seen, you know we reported last week Sacramento said 'We're out.' They've been telling teams that. Other teams, they feel not only is the asking price too high from Philly, even if it went down some it would still be too high. It won't get far enough down for them to make a deal. They just don't want to waste time on it."

    Woj:
"There are a lot of GMs who will tell you, I had one tell me today, certainly a team that has the pieces to do a Ben Simmons' trade... 'Daryl has to call me. I'm not calling him. He has to call me with offers.' There are teams who feel that."

I would bet he has several offers on the table and some could be low ball and some not, but he will wait and hope someone ups the ante. Of course teams could pull offers at the last minute too. He's a stat/system guy and he's not going to be proven wrong, just not going to happen with him he'll wait and blow it off as no big deal.

Since NO has a TPE it could have the same monitary value as just CJ and then absorb Covington into the TPE. I would 100% buy into this if you can get Herb and a first. Add Hart, Sato and whatever other small contract they want and it works.

Well the other GM can say hell with Morey not do business and keep Simmons on the sidelines until contract runs out. That would put the pressure on Philly either Morey finds away to get rid of him or Morey gets fire.

I think somebody has posted that Roco won't fit in that TPE. That's why I had to make it so complicated.

I could be thinking about a different convo. That would be great if we could trade him into a TPE. Then we wouldn't have to take Grahm back.
