That's a different discussion than abortion laws though...and a woman's right to not accept an unwanted pregnancy for various reasons.

You stick your head in the sand when some murders are committed. Sucking the brains out of a child before the shoulders exit the birth canal being one.
Some times a little later too I gather, perhaps any time before mother and child leave the clinic works.

Ha! I might agree that aborting crack heads is a good idea. Write the law! We can have a vote on it. Do it in every State! Sure as hell better than having a meaningless discussion on the generic subject every Presidential election with no climax ever achieved.

Then you're not the person to whom any of my comments are relevant. Kindly back off, and let people like Denny reply, because the situations you outline are not in the realm of this discussion.

River is correct in some cases. The abortion has already been started long before the clinic gets involved. It just remains for the clean up to be done in the clinic to finish the job.
Society is much better off when we allow the clean up to proceed unhindered.

OK, I can respect your viewpoint.
I guess I just don't believe people should use it as a crutch for BC is all.

What have I said that is any different from your response to a post? You are talking about abortion....I talked about abortion..I don't stop Denny from posting anything he wants....nor do you...you may not be interested in my take but I'm kindly staying in the conversation...I might suggest the PM mode if you want a private conversation with Denny

As Trump showed himself (surprise!) completely ignorant on late term abortion (note: there is no such thing as "partial birth abortion"; it has no medical definition and was made up by opponents of legal abortion because it sounds gruesome; very bad journalism to use a false and inflammatory term), a Utah woman posted her story.

    http://www.self.com/story/late-term-abortion-story
Alyson Draper is a Mormon mother of six in Utah who had a late abortion.

The process she described is now illegal in Utah; a woman would have to undergo a more grueling and dangerous procedure.

I don't expect her or me to change the minds of serial misogynists on the board but there may be some thoughtful males who wonder why a woman would have a late abortion. Mrs. Draper tells why.

Contrary to Trump, it is not because women are so stupid they contemplate their navels for 8 months, 3 weeks, 6 days, and then decide to have an abortion out of female caprice. Nor do we need male experts like Trump to inform us what pregnancy really entails.

Ugh. You're arguing against a point I'm not making. But I'll gladly ignore you for the remainder of this thread.

I wasn't talking about abortion so much as about the legal argument Denny was making regarding a fetus having a right to use of the woman's body.

Compartmentalization is an important skill for rational discourse.

Then obviously you are not for the right to choose. You are only for women making choices you personally approve of.

Have you every, once in your life, had heterosexual intercourse?
Stop having sex if you don't want to support a child 18 years.

You are seeing my post as an argument...when actually I was just saying the the "willing" was a big part of the rights part of sperm entering a fetus....now maybe you just preferred to skip that part of the process and my bringing it up irritated you...oh well...that's what I get for thinking I'm adding to the conversation eh

Self defense. A woman's body is her "castle."

People have sex for reasons other than procreation. It is the woman who grants permission for an embryo to share her body.

I also do believe life begins at conception. The science says so. Spermatozoa aren't conceptions.

The science is the DNA is human and unique. Even the first cell.

Honest question. Do you think it's okay to use abortion as birth control, if the person had waited to long to use the other things like "morning after" or whatever?

    Inventive, but no.

(Straining to try to avoid making a comment that she shouldn't have lowered the drawbridge in the first place, but failing.)
