No. 22 Cincinnati holds on for 66-64 win over SMU

Instead of losing close games this season, Cincinnati is finding ways to pull them out.

Troy Caupain scored 16 points and blunted SMU's comeback with a clutch 3-pointer on Thursday night, helping the 22nd-ranked Bearcats hold on for a 66-64 victory over SMU.

No. 18 Cincinnati gets 26th straight win, 65-47 over Houston

Confetti floated from the rafters and covered the court at the final buzzer. Cincinnati finished its perfect home season with a flourish.

Gary Clark had 14 points and seven rebounds in a balanced attack, and the 18th-ranked Bearcats rolled to their 26th straight win at home, 65-47 over Houston on Thursday night.

No. 14 SMU clinches share of AAC title with blowout of Tulsa

Semi Ojeleye was perfect from the field, and yet SMU's big man was more impressed with Shake Milton's play from a sitting position that set up one of the Mustangs' highlight alley-oops while they clinched at least a share of the American Athletic Conference title.

Milton maintained control of the ball after tripping just past midcourt, even dribbling between his legs while sitting on the court . Still on his rear end with defenders around him, Milton then passed to Sterling Brown, who delivered the alley-oop to Ojeleye in the Mustangs' 93-70 victory over Tulsa on Thursday night.

2017-18 Season - as of now there are not any plans to restart
    varsity football.

They will be the 12th Team in all other sports
to offset Navy joining just in FB

No. 12 Cincinnati routs Savannah State 107-77

The Bearcats made their new digs feel just like the old ones in the most important way: They kept up that home-court winning streak.

Cane Broome scored 17 points during his debut as Cincinnati's point guard, and the 12th-ranked Bearcats pulled away to a 107-77 victory over Savannah State on Friday that showed they need a lot of work in other areas.

Bluiett leads No. 17 Xavier over Morehead State 101-49

Trevon Bluiett missed a week of practice with a sore right shoulder. It didn't show in his season debut.

The senior guard scored 21 of his 25 points during Xavier's blistering first half on Friday night, and the 17th-ranked Musketeers dominated from the opening tip-off for a 101-49 victory over Morehead State.

No. 12 Cincinnati presses Western Carolina for 102-51 win

Forward Kyle Washington spotted a leftover box of pizza in the interview room following his postgame media session. He decided to make one more takeaway, grabbing the box and heading for the exit.

"Y'all are watching me?" he said, pretending to sneak away. "Y'all are going to watch me walk right out the door."

Cold pizza wasn't the only thing the Bearcats made off with on a night when they turned up the defense.

Sophomore Jarron Cumberland scored 20 points for the second time in his career, and Cincinnati's full-court pressure forced 22 turnovers Monday night, setting up a 102-51 victory over Western Carolina.

Bluiett lifts No. 15 Xavier to 80-70 win over Wisconsin

Xavier guard J.P. Macura waited nearly two years for a chance to avenge a tough loss to Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament.

No way that the 15th-ranked Musketeers' veteran backcourt was going to pass up their shot on Thursday night.

Trevon Bluiett scored 25 points, including back-to-back 3-pointers in a decisive run over the final 1:47, and Xavier pulled away late for an 80-70 victory in one of the Gavitt Tipoff Games.

No. 12 Cincinnati routs Coppin State 97-54

At the outset, the Bearcats didn't miss a thing, hitting their first 13 shots and all four free throws. When they needed one more basket at the end to set a school record, they came up empty -- the only disappointment in another dominating performance.

Jarron Cumberland led Cincinnati's opening blitz of perfect shooting, and the 12th-ranked Bearcats pulled away to a 97-54 victory over Coppin State on Thursday night. The game ended with a reserve guard dribbling out the clock and the crowd murmuring.

No. 2 Arizona upset again at Battle 4 Atlantis, 66-60 by SMU

SMU attacked the glass and kept scoring off turnovers to offset a bad shooting performance. It was enough to hand No. 2 Arizona a second stunning loss to an unranked opponent in two nights.

Ben Emelogu scored 20 points and the Mustangs upset the Wildcats 66-60 in Thursday's consolation round at the Battle 4 Atlantis, a jarring start for an Arizona team that began the season as a Final Four favorite with a preseason Associated Press All-American in Allonzo Trier.

Unbeaten No. 11 Cincinnati beats Alabama State 83-51

The stretch of games against overmatched teams is finished. No. 11 Cincinnati gets to start measuring its worth, starting with its crosstown rival.

The Bearcats finally have a game that everyone in Cincinnati is awaiting.

Gary Clark had 14 point and seven rebounds, and No. 11 Cincinnati stayed unbeaten heading into its game against its crosstown rival by beating winless Alabama State 83-51 on Monday night.

No. 21 Xavier sends No. 16 Baylor to its 1st loss, 76-63

After giving up 102 points in its first loss of the season, No. 21 Xavier spent all of its practice time working on defense. It showed the next time out.

J.P. Macura scored 15 of his 19 points in the first half as Xavier surged ahead to stay, and the Musketeers dug in and sent No. 16 Baylor to its first loss of the season, 76-63 on Tuesday night.

Moody Magic: SMU over No. 14 USC 72-55, 28th home win in row

Tim Jankovich never wanted to watch the film of SMU's first-round NCAA Tournament loss last March. The only reason he did this week was because the Mustangs were getting ready to play Southern California again.

Jankovich will enjoy watching the rematch.

The Mustangs got some measure of revenge with a 72-55 victory over No. 14 USC on Saturday night after charging ahead with a big run after halftime.
