Mick Cronin gets new 7-year deal Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin signed a new seven-year contract, which will pay him $2.2 million annually, he confirmed after the Cincinnati Board of Trustees approved the deal early Monday. Cronin, who has coached the Bearcats since 2006, has led his team to four straight NCAA tournaments. Cincinnati went 27-7 last season, 15-3 in the new American Conference, which tied for first place with Louisville. The Bearcats lost in the round of 64 to Harvard in a 12-seed vs. 5-seed game. Justin Martin transferring to SMU - Justin Martin is transferring to SMU from Xavier and is expected to be eligible next season.
