Tune throws for 4 TDs, leads No. 19 Houston over UConn 45-17

After taking care of business in New England, Houston coach Dana Holgorsen decided to channel Bill Belichick, happy that his team can finally switch its focus to next weekend's American Athletic Conference championship game.

"Now, we're on to Cincinnati," he said.

Clayton Tune threw for 301 yards and four touchdowns Saturday as No. 19 Houston completed its regular season with a 45-17 win over UConn in cold and windy conditions.

Brin, Tulsa take Myrtle Beach Bowl 30-17 over Old Dominion

Tulsa cornerback Tyon Davis thinks his team needs a little adversity to get themselves going.

That was certainly true at the Myrtle Beach Bowl where the Golden Hurricane endured Old Dominion's stunning start — a 100-yard return touchdown by LeMareon James on the opening kickoff — on the way to a 30-17 victory Monday to close the season with four straight victories.

No. 24 Houston escapes with 37-35 victory over UTSA in 3 OTs

Dana Holgorsen would prefer Clayton Tune not run the ball out of concern for his health. The Houston coach knew he could not stop his senior quarterback from doing so, though. And neither could UTSA.

Tune leaped over a defender to score on a 13-yard run and the 24th-ranked Cougars escaped with 37-35 victory over UTSA in three overtimes Saturday.

Pratt accounts for 6 TDs, No. 21 Tulane tames SMU 59-24

Michael Pratt used his feet and his right arm to dissect SMU's defense with ruthless efficiency and send Tulane into a high-stakes regular-season finale with no shortage of confidence.

Pratt passed for three touchdowns and ran for three scores, and No. 21 Tulane capitalized on a slew of SMU mistakes to beat the Mustangs 59-24 on Thursday night.

Pratt accounts for 5 TDs, Tulane tops UCF 45-28 to win AAC

As Tulane receiver Shae Wyatt watched jubilant fans streaming onto the field, he couldn't help but reflect upon how far his team had come since finishing last season 2-10.

''It's definitely surreal,'' said Wyatt, whose two touchdown catches were no small part of why a celebratory scene so hard to conceive of a year ago was unfolding around him. ''Seeing all the other schools with their success, and having their fans storm the field - eventually, everybody wants that.''

Michael Pratt accounted for 442 total yards and five touchdowns, Tyjae Spears highlighted his 199 yards rushing with a 60-yard score and No. 18 Tulane beat No. 22 UCF 45-28 on Saturday night in the American Athletic Conference championship game.
