    Teddy Bridgewater still 'undecided'

Louisville junior quarterback Teddy Bridgewater said he is "undecided" whether to return for his senior year and will make the decision following the Cardinals' bowl game.

"I've been hearing all these stories that I've made a decision -- I haven't made a decision," Bridgewater said Monday. "I will talk to my mom and the coaches before making my decision. I'm not leaning either way."

Teddy Bridgewater, Louisville easily handle Miami

Leading up to the Russell Athletic Bowl, Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater batted back questions about whether the game would be his last in college.

If it was, he left plenty for the Cardinals to remember.

Bridgewater threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score to help No. 18 Louisville rout Miami 36-9 on Saturday night.

Blake Bortles has 4 TDs as No. 15 UCF upsets No. 6 Baylor in Fiesta

Blake Bortles rolled right, crashed into two defenders and floated a pass to an open receiver just before going down. The two players who had a bead on Central Florida's quarterback stayed on the ground, each pounding his hands into the turf as the receiver ran up the sideline.

Out of reach all game, the Knights pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the bowl season by outlasting the nation's top offensive team in a rousing BCS debut.

Bortles stymied Baylor with his arm and legs while accounting for four touchdowns, Storm Johnson ran for three more scores, and No. 15 Central Florida turned the highest-scoring Tostitos Fiesta Bowl into a big-play party by outlasting the sixth-ranked Bears 52-42 on Wednesday night.

    Louisville hires Bobby Petrino

Bobby Petrino is "home" again, signing a seven-year contract for a second stint as coach at Louisville.

Petrino led Western Kentucky to an 8-4 record this season, his first at the school. He was 41-9 with the Cardinals from 2003 to 2006 and succeeds Charlie Strong, who left after four seasons to accept the Texas job.

"It's great to get the opportunity to come back here," Petrino said during a news conference Thursday. "This is our home."

    QB Tyler Ferguson picks Louisville

Former Penn State quarterback Tyler Ferguson is following Bobby Petrino to Louisville.

The Nittany Lions granted Ferguson his release last month, and he initially planned to play for Petrino at Western Kentucky. But those plans changed this week once Petrino returned to Louisville as successor to new Texas coach Charlie Strong.

"After he got the job at Louisville, he called me very shortly after that," Ferguson told ESPN.com. "So, yeah, I'm going out there to Louisville now."

    USF coach resigns over tweet

A member of USF's coaching staff has resigned for a tweet regarding former Bulls defensive lineman Aaron Lynch, who was drafted this past weekend by the San Francisco 49ers.

Bulls strength and conditioning coach Hans Straub said in a since-deleted tweet the following after the 49ers took Lynch in the fifth round of the draft Saturday: "Thought an organization with 5 Super Bowl titles would have a stricter draft criteria. Clearly, integrity & character are not a priority."

USF announced the resignation on Tuesday.

    AAC execs finalize two divisions

The two divisions begin in 2015, when Navy joins the league as a football-only member.

In 2015, the divisions will be split geographically, except Navy will in the AAC West along with Houston, Memphis, SMU, Tulane and Tulsa, a source said. The AAC East would consist of Cincinnati, UConn, UCF, East Carolina, South Florida and Temple.

"Texas is our No. 1 state for players," Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo told the Advocate.com. "So we'd prefer to play at either Houston or SMU every year. No plan is perfect, and we'll be happy wherever they put us."

The league also will have a conference championship game at a campus site between the East and West Division champions.

In 2014, the AAC will be an 11-team league. The AAC adds East Carolina, Tulane and Tulsa from Conference USA

Pitt will be without end Ejuan Price

Pittsburgh defensive end Ejuan Price will miss the 2014 season with a chest injury, further depleting a thin position group for the Panthers.

Price tore a pectoral muscle during workouts this week, the school announced Wednesday. The junior will undergo surgery to repair the injury.

"We are incredibly disappointed for Ejuan," coach Paul Chryst said in a statement. "We will do everything we can to help him stay encouraged and focused through this challenge."

    WR DeVante Parker injures foot

Louisville says wide receiver DeVante Parker injured his left foot during practice and will be evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon in Charlotte, North Carolina, soon.

The school announced the injury in a news release and said there is no timetable for Parker's return.

Parker was injured during practice at Papa John's Stadium on Friday and evaluated by team physicians. He will visit Dr. Bob Anderson in Charlotte "in the next couple days for further evaluation and management," the release said.

June Jones has resigned as coach of the SMU Mustangs, citing "personal issues."

"This afternoon, I talked to my staff and players and notified them that I have decided to resign as SMU head football coach effective immediately," Jones said in a statement released by the school.
