This. For whatever reason, Batum never gave 100% for the Blazers and he would never have performed the way he has for his new team. Even though we have gotten nothing for him in the trade, we were going to lose him for nothing next summer anyway.
By watching the games. Id think you of all people would have seen that. But I know nic is your boy so you may be a little biased
He had a funny way of showing it. He has been a better player this season than he ever was for the Blazers!
Knowing that the other three starters were leaving, the best thing we could have done was keep Batum until the trade deadline. Without LMA, Wes, and RoLo, Batum would've had a bigger responsibility and have inflated/better stats like he does now in CHA. At that point, we can trade him. I hated what we did because we sold him when he was at his lowest trade value.
The batum trade was great. His time was up here and we got value. sent from a phone you've probably never heard of
And he showed so much loyalty when he signed with Minnesota? When he literally said he wanted to leave Portland and go play there?
This season (last season), Batums' FTM has tripled to 3.6 (1.2). Shed of Aldridge, he can play aggressively. We should have dumped Aldridge but not Batum.
It's triple his last year amount! Let's see...He ranks 34th, so the average team has only one player with at least 3.6 FTM. http://bkref.com/tiny/L0RD5
