IS when its over.... Sorry. I'M not a fan of requiring a holiday to show family love and give gifts. Yes there is a true and underlying depth to Xmas, but 99% of Americans celebrate it because their work give it to them off for the holiday and they celebrate it to give and receive gifts. I don't need a holiday to give a gift. And hey. If anyone wants to give me a gift anytoime of year, I will happily receive. Thanksgiving too. Why do we need a fake (and completely backwards) holiday to gather as a family for a feast and spread our thanks? I tell my wife every night thank you for the meal she puts before me and we gather all the time to feast together. FakeHolidaysSuck.
It’s about doing something for kids in need for me. I feel bad that I don’t do more the rest of the year. Every kid should have a good Christmas.
And that's really it. Its just sad to think we have to have a holiday to get us to give to charities, etc. But yeah, for me the only joy I get is through the kids.
