It does, however, appear to be building on the momentum it established last year, when it had three teams (West Virginia, Louisville and Rutgers) in the top 10 at various times and, at 5-0, was the only league to go undefeated in bowl games.

Since then, the conference has lost only two games, both by Syracuse. I never expected L'Ville's defense to be this bad. Going down to UK hurts the conference.
Pitt should have been able to beat MSU, but then again, we know who is coaching that team.
Stat of the Day: Pitt has scored less points in their 3 games than Louisville has given up in their 3 games

Still 4 teams from the Big East in the AP Top 25
WVU at #5 Rutgers at #10 USF at #18 UC at #24
L'Ville had 0 votes
UConn had 3 votes

The Rutgers-Cincinnati game is now on National Television, ESPN2.
http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2007/09/r...l_air_on_e.html

USF shouldn't be ranked. Y'all will see how bad they are come the 13th of October when UCF destroys them. BTW, Kevin Smith is the best running back in the nation.

not a football fan, but i was surprised SU won a game. and beat Louisville.
I was reading about the glory days of SU football one day, they used to have some legends, and used to be really good.

Yeah, sure. if about 20 RBs, including McFadden, Slaton, Rice, Hart all drop off the face of the earth.

Another week and another Top 25 jumble for the Big East
AP Poll : #6 USF, #13 WVU, #20 UC, #21 RU and 9 votes for UConn
USA Today Poll : #9 USF, #12 WVU, #21 RU, #24 UC and 23 votes for UConn
Harris Poll : #10 USF, #11 WVU, #21 RU, #24 UC, 51 votes for UConn and 3 votes for L'Ville

USF's time will be short lived. Kevin Smith will rush for 200+ yards as UCF annihilates USF on the 13th in Tampa.

QUOTE (Dissonance19)

Pitt's getting some good talent. They might give Wanny another yr or two.

Why? Just so that the new coach has a decent talent base? It is pretty clear that Wanny couldn't coach the 2006 Florida Gators to a .500 record.

QUOTE (Dissonance19)

Pitt's getting some good talent. They might give Wanny another yr or two.

Not with that play-calling. Talent means nothing if the coach is incapable of making smart and obvious decisions. Why throw on 3rd down when McCoy is having a terrific game? Ridiculous. Why throw on 4th instead of going for the tie when you're playing at home? Even more ridiculous.
