He looked a bit lost. He threw a horrible cross court pass that was stolen. He actually looks small in stature. He came off a screen and hit a jumper. He missed one from the corner. Was no defensive stopper and I would prefer to watch Crabbe.

Role? Not from what I saw tonight. They should let him play big minutes in the D-league and then we can bring him back before the playoffs as insurance.

I like Crabbe, but he isn't half the talent that CJ is.

I thought he looked a lil small as well which is odd because I thought he looked bigger in stature in the d league.

He showed more promise than Anthony Bennett.

In the D League games he was playing with smaller players across the board.

1st game in the NBA with a team closing in on the mid point of the season of course there will be some "not in the flow" vibe. Once he gets his legs fully back and finds the "flow" of the team he will be a big compliment to the team IMO.

CJ's our future Mo and Crabbe's our future Wright.

    The future looks bright.

    It'll be all right.

My only question for CJ is does he have the handles necessary for a SG in the NBA and is he quick/crafty enough to get off his shot against bigger players.

I have no worries about him making the mid range shot if he is open. But will he get open in a half court set is the question. Can he create his own shot? We will know in about 10-15 games.

I wonder what Mediocre Man thinks of CJ's debut...

Good question, but even if he can't a Rip Hamilton type game from him would be very valuable.

That's my concern. From the limited videos I've watched he appears to have a good dribble (better than Lillard?), but it doesn't appear that he gets his shot off very quickly.
However, I think we have more than enough shooters on the perimeter, so I'm wanting to see CJ get into the paint more than shoot jumpers.

    Did CJ play for Syracuse?

Is he a white American-born center?

I'm sure MM thought he did fine.

I think so too Nate. I still can't wait to see him do it against the big boys. The guys scores from so many different ways, but until he actually does it in the association, I will hold off my enthusiasm. But yeah you can't deny he has the handles from those videos.
