No. 9 Maryland edges Nebraska 72-70 for 7th straight victory

Mark Turgeon probably won't spend a whole lot of time watching the replay of his 200th win at Maryland.

In a lackluster performance hardly befitting the first-place team in the Big Ten, the ninth-ranked Terrapins blew most of a 14-point lead against lowly Nebraska before escaping with a 72-70 victory Tuesday night.

Garza scores 24 points; No. 21 Iowa beats Minnesota 58-55

Winning on the road in the Big Ten has proven to be a monumental task for most every team this season. Even trailing by eight points late at Minnesota, No. 21 Iowa believed it was going to shake that trend.

Luka Garza had 24 points and the Hawkeyes closed the game by scoring the final 11 points to rally past the Gophers 58-55 on Sunday.

No. 7 Maryland beats Northwestern 76-67 for 9th straight win

It's no coincidence that Jalen Smith's run of consecutive double-doubles coincides with Maryland's current winning streak.

Smith had 22 points and a career-high 19 rebounds for his ninth straight double-double, and No. 7 Maryland never trailed in a 76-67 victory over Northwestern on Tuesday night.

Dosunmu scores 24, Illinois beats No. 9 Penn State 62-56

Ayo Dosunmu felt well enough during warm-ups to return to lineup. That was enough for Illinois against No. 9 Penn State.

Dosunmu, the Fighting Illini's leading scorer who missed the previous game with a knee injury, scored 24 points, and Illinois snapped a four-game losing streak with a 62-56 victory over Penn State on Tuesday night.

Muhammad scores 22, No. 25 Ohio State tops No. 7 Maryland

Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann sat across from Luther Muhammad at a recent lunch and told him there would soon be a day when the sophomore guard would need to “be the difference.”

That day turned out to be Sunday.

Muhammad scored 22 points and No. 25 Ohio State beat No. 7 Maryland 79-72, snapping the Terrapins' nine-game winning streak.

Durham, Jackson-Davis lead Indiana past No. 9 Penn State

In a game full of wild swings, Indiana boxed out No. 9 Penn State.

The Hoosiers let a 19-point first-half lead completely disappear, fell behind by six and then rallied for a 68-60 victory Sunday.

Winston-led, No. 24 Michigan State beats No. 18 Iowa 78-70

Cassius Winston scored only one point in the first half and it looked like his team's slim shot to win another Big Ten title was vanishing.

The All-America point guard bounced back and scored 19 of his 20 points in the second half, helping No. 24 Michigan State rally to beat 18th-ranked Iowa 78-70 on Tuesday night to keep its conference championship hopes alive.

Dread's late 3 lifts No. 16 Penn State over Rutgers

Patrick Chambers wants No. 16 Penn State to develop a killer instinct.

He may want to show his Nittany Lions replays of Myles Dread's effort from Wednesday night.

Dread hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 28 seconds left to lift Penn State over Rutgers 65-64 after the Nittany Lions blew a 21-point lead. Akwasi Yeboah missed a 3-pointer the other way and Dread was swarmed by his teammates who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Morsell's late 3 lifts No. 9 Maryland past Minnesota 74-73

Down by double digits for most of the game and trailing by eight points near the two-minute mark, Maryland could've chalked up an off night at Minnesota to the rigor of Big Ten road play and still returned home in first place.

Darryl Morsell and his teammates refused to concede.

Morsell drained the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1.9 seconds left for No. 9 Maryland on Wednesday night, capping a furious comeback for a 74-73 victory with a 10-1 run over the final 2:06.

No. 23 Buckeyes surge late to beat No. 19 Michigan 77-63

After slogging through a miserable January, No. 23 Ohio State has won eight of its last 10 games, a surge that culminated in a 77-63 victory over No. 19 Michigan in front of sold-out crowd Sunday.
