Perkins' 20 points leads No. 25 Iowa past Huskers 88-78

Tony Perkins' right shoulder has been bothering him all season, not enough to keep him out of games, but enough to be annoying when driving into contact or bumping into a screen.

The Iowa sophomore was pleasantly surprised when, for the first time in a long time, he felt no pain during pregame warmups Friday. After he made his first two shots, he knew it would be his night.

Perkins scored a career-high 20 points to lead the No. 25 Hawkeyes past Nebraska 88-78, giving his team a boost while Big Ten scoring leader Keegan Murray struggled to get going.

Michigan State snaps slump with 68-65 win over No. 4 Purdue

Tom Izzo was choked up as he walked off the court, and the emotional display had nothing to do with matching Bob Knight's record for the most wins by a men's basketball coach at a Big Ten school.

Tyson Walker made a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 3 seconds left, helping Michigan State beat No. 4 Purdue 68-65 on Saturday and triggering tears from its Hall of Fame coach.

No. 13 Wisconsin edges Rutgers 66-61, takes Big Ten lead

While they weren't the preseason favorite to win the Big Ten Conference, Wisconsin coach Greg Gard said that's been his team's goal since the start of the season.

Win the next game, and the No. 13 Badgers (23-5, 14-4) will have the regular-season title.

"This group has had a Big Ten championship in their sights since we started in the offseason," Gard said Saturday night after Wisconsin took over first place with a hard-fought 66-61 road win over Rutgers. "This is a group that's stayed the course and continued to take it one day at a time."

No. 10 Badgers nip No. 8 Purdue for share of Big Ten title

Chucky Hepburn tried to keep a straight face as the freshman insisted he knew his game-winning 3-pointer was accurate as soon as he took the shot.

The laughter from his teammates told a different story.

Hepburn banked in a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 1.5 seconds left to give No. 10 Wisconsin a 70-67 victory over No. 8 Purdue on Tuesday night that clinched the Badgers a share of the Big Ten regular-season title.

No. 8 Purdue rallies past Indiana 69-67 to end 2-game skid

Purdue's seniors celebrated one final time on their home court Saturday.

It was the next best thing to a Big Ten regular-season title — a victory over archrival Indiana.

Eric Hunter Jr. had 17 points, Trevion Williams made the tying basket with less than six minutes left and Sasha Stefanovic hit the go-ahead 3-pointer as the eighth-ranked Boilermakers rallied past Indiana 69-67.

Spartans pull away late to beat No. 12 Wisconsin 69-63

Marcus Bingham Jr. embraced being the game-changer Friday night.

Tyson Walker helped seventh-seeded Michigan State make sure the title stuck.

Bingham scored 11 of his career-high matching 19 points during a crucial second-half stretch and Walker scored nine of his 11 points in the final 93 seconds to help the Spartans beat No. 12 Wisconsin 69-63 in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals.

Murray leads No. 24 Iowa past Rutgers in Big Ten Tournament

For Keegan Murray, confidence has been the key to Iowa's recent roll

"We've learned how when we're knocked back down, how to get back up," Murray said. "If we get down, we can get on a run in any point in the game. Our mentality is never give up whether we're up 20 or down 20."

Murray had 26 points and eight rebounds to lead No. 24 Iowa to an 84-74 victory over Rutgers in the Big Ten quarterfinals Friday.

Jackson-Davis leads Indiana past No. 16 Illinois 65-63

Trayce Jackson-Davis had something to prove at the Big Ten Tournament.

He wanted to show the critics he could excel against the conference's top big men and that Indiana deserved an NCAA Tournament bid. So far, no complaints.

Jackson-Davis made the go-ahead free throws with 26.1 seconds left Friday, then added another foul shot with 1.7 seconds left to seal a 65-63 victory over No. 16 Illinois, sending the ninth-seeded Hoosiers to their first semifinal appearance since 2013 and likely their first NCAA Tournament since 2016.

Bohannon banks long, late 3, No. 24 Iowa beats Indiana 80-77

Iowa guard Jordan Bohannon couldn't recall how many times he tried a long, game-winning 3 in his backyard. Or how many times the shots went in.

No matter. Because when it came to the real thing, he made it.

With the shot clock running down in a tie game, a berth in the Big Ten Tournament championship at stake and the ball in his hands, Bohannon did what he always does — took the shot, this time from just inside the midcourt logo.

And in the blink of an eye, the ball banked off the backboard and through the net with 0.8 seconds to give No. 24 Iowa an 80-77 victory over Indiana in the first of Saturday's two semifinals.

No. 9 Purdue gets past Michigan State 75-70, into title game

Jaden Ivey gave No. 9 Purdue the production and energy it needed to reach the Big Ten Tournament title game.

Now he's in position to lead the third-seeded Boilermakers to a championship that's already eluded them once this season.

Ivey finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and five assists, and Eric Hunter Jr. made two back-breaking 3-pointers late in Saturday's second semifinal game to give Purdue a 75-70 victory over seventh-seeded Michigan State.

No. 24 Iowa closes out No. 9 Purdue 75-66 for Big Ten title

Iowa forward Keegan Murray grabbed the Big Ten Tournament trophy, cut down the nets and immediately turned his attention to another challenge.

He hopes to keep playing into April before making a decision about the NBA.

Murray capped a remarkable week with 19 points, 11 rebounds and three assists to lead No. 24 Iowa past No. 9 Purdue 75-66 on Sunday, giving the fifth-seeded Hawkeyes their first conference crown since 2006 and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

University of Dayton Arena was rocking, thanks to hordes of Indiana fans who made the drive to the First Four to see the Hoosiers play in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016.

The 13,400-seat newly renovated venue just got louder as Indiana pulled away late to cap a 66-58 win over turnover-prone Wyoming on Tuesday night, sending the 12th-seeded Hoosiers (21-13) to a first-round East regional game to face fifth-seeded St. Mary's on Thursday.

Collins provides spark, Michigan beats Colorado State 75-63

Freshman Frankie Collins made a starting debut that Michigan fans won't soon forget.

With starting point guard DeVante' Jones stuck on campus in the concussion protocol and the Wolverines struggling with turnovers, Collins scored 14 points, grabbed six rebounds and helped 11th-seeded Michigan overcome a shaky start to beat sixth-seeded Colorado State 75-63 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday.
