Hamilton's 3 TDs lead Penn State over Indiana

DaeSean Hamilton began his Penn State career uncertain he'd ever get a chance to contribute. He'll end it with the most receptions in Nittany Lions history.

The fifth-year senior caught nine passes for 122 yards and three touchdowns and broke the school receptions mark in No. 4 Penn State's 45-14 victory over Indiana on Saturday.

J.T. Barrett becomes Ohio State passing yardage leader in Rutgers rout

J.T. Barrett came to Ohio State looking to become the starting quarterback, win some games and be successful.

He has more than exceeded expectations. He's now the Buckeyes' career passing leader.

Barrett threw three touchdown passes and took over the top spot in the Ohio State record book from Art Schlichter in leading the 11th-ranked Buckeyes to a 56-0 victory over Rutgers on Saturday night.

Taylor runs for 249 in No. 9 Badgers' 38-17 win over Huskers

Freshman Jonathan Taylor became the latest Wisconsin running back Nebraska couldn't stop.

Following in the footsteps of backs like Montee Ball and Melvin Gordon, Taylor rushed for a season-high 249 yards and two touchdowns to lead a punishing ground game that helped ninth-ranked Wisconsin wear down Nebraska in the second half of a 38-17 win Saturday night.

Michigan St beats No. 7 Michigan 14-10 for 8th time in 10 games

Mark Dantonio has done what seemed improbable a decade ago and in the previous century, figuring out a way to help Michigan State have its way with Michigan on a consistent basis.

Brian Lewerke ran for a touchdown and threw for a score in the first half and the Spartans held on to beat the seventh-ranked Wolverines 14-10 on Saturday night.

No. 10 Ohio State keeps rolling, routs Maryland 62-14

Maryland tried to mix things up right from the start Saturday, trying a flea-flicker on its first offensive play. Ohio State linebacker Dante Booker wasn't fooled. He sacked Max Bortenschlagerfor a 4-yard loss.

Matter of fact, the Buckeyes had little trouble with the Terrapins all game.

The stingy No. 10 Buckeyes held Maryland to 66 total yards -- their fewest yards allowed since yielding 60 against Indiana in 1960 -- in a 62-14 rout.

Defense holds up for No. 7 Wisconsin in 17-9 win over Purdue

Jonathan Taylor and the offense stumbled after a fast start, and then finished strong in typical Wisconsin fashion by grinding out a clock-chewing drive.

The seventh-ranked Badgers' defense, on the other hand, maintained its elite level of play throughout.

Taylor ran for 219 yards on 30 carries, including a 67-yard touchdown , and Wisconsin relied on its stifling D to overcome a three-turnover afternoon and beat Purdue 17-9 on Saturday.

No. 9 Buckeyes' tear continues with 56-14 win over Huskers

Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett led eight straight touchdown drives against Nebraska before his night ended early in the fourth quarter Saturday night.

The wind had kicked up and the temperature had dropped into the 40s as he stood with punter Drue Chrisman while the clock wound down.

"It's cold here on the sideline," Barrett recalled saying. That's when Chrisman reminded him that Ohio State hadn't punted.

"I almost wanted to say `I apologize' to him," Barrett said, laughing, "but I didn't."

The way Ohio State's offense has been playing the last month, Chrisman's services have barely been needed. The surge continued in the ninth-ranked Buckeyes' 56-14 rout of Nebraska, with Barrett passing for five touchdowns and running for two others.

No. 17 Michigan defense holds off Indiana in OT, 27-20

Karan Higdon was the only thing really working for Michigan's offense. The defense did its part all day for the Wolverines.

Higdon ran 25 yards for a touchdown on the first play of overtime for No. 17 Michigan and Tyree Kinnel intercepted a fourth-down pass in the end zone on the final play as the Wolverines held off Indiana 27-20 on Saturday.

Great Scott: MSU runs over Minnesota, hangs on for 30-27 win

Michigan State didn't let the thrill of beating Michigan last week deter the momentum.

Coach Mark Dantonio and his staff weren't even worried about a letdown at Minnesota. Confidence is high, and so is the ambition.

L.J. Scott returned from an injury to carry the ball 25 times for a career-high 194 yards and two touchdowns , helping the 21st-ranked Spartans hang on for a 30-27 victory over Minnesota on a soggy Saturday night after kickoff was delayed 34 minutes by lightning strikes.

Wisconsin stays unbeaten with 38-13 win over Maryland

Jonathan Taylor came to Wisconsin prepared for a heavy workload, even if he was buried deep on the depth chart when training camp opened.

How things have changed in three months at Camp Randall Stadium.

Taylor ran for a touchdown and broke the 1,000-yard mark for the season, Alex Hornibrook passed for two scores and the fifth-ranked Badgers stayed unbeaten with a 38-13 victory over Maryland on Saturday.

Penn State payback: No. 2 Nittany Lions beat Michigan 42-13

The whiteout at Penn State is one of the most mesmerizing scenes in college football. With more than 100,000 fans dressed in white, Beaver Stadium virtually glows as night falls in Happy Valley.

Penn State coach James Franklin tells his players to drink in the spectacle when they take the field.

"Run out of that tunnel. Look around for 30 seconds and then don't ever look again and then get back to focusing on the game and controlling what we can control," Franklin said.

What No. 2 Penn State controlled on Saturday night was Michigan. The Nittany Lions turned their whiteout into a knockout of the 19th-ranked Wolverines.

Saquon Barkley and Trace McSorley cut through one of the nation's stingiest defenses, each scoring three touchdowns, as Penn State emphatically avenged its last regular-season loss with a 42-13 victory.

No. 18 Michigan State comes through late, beats Indiana 17-9

Michigan State came prepared with an appropriate symbol for its sixth victory of the season.

"We had a bowling ball in the locker room," quarterback Brian Lewerkesaid. "We're all going to sign it after -- on Monday or whatever."

Lewerke threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Felton Davis with 5:59 remaining, and the 18th-ranked Spartans edged Indiana 17-9 on Saturday night to become bowl eligible. Securing a postseason opportunity has been a formality for much of coach Mark Dantonio's tenure at Michigan State, but after a 3-9 season in 2016, this win meant something.

No. 5 Wisconsin holds off Illinois 24-10, stays unbeaten

Wisconsin has relied all season on star freshman running back Jonathan Taylor to provide the winning edge.

When Taylor went down with an injury against Illinois on Saturday, the fifth-ranked Badgers showed how well they can play defense, forcing three turnovers to help key a 24-10 victory.
