"I needed a new start, fresh start, and I feel like Nebraska was the best place to do so," Stringfellow told the Omaha World-Herald. "It's a great environment and a great school." Michigan lands RB Ty Isaac Running back Ty Isaac is transferring from Southern California to Michigan. Wolverines coach Brady Hoke says it was important for Isaac to move back to the Midwest to be closer to his mother and his family. Isaac is from Shorewood, Illinois. It is unclear if he will sit out this season to comply with NCAA transfer rules or seek a hardship waiver to be eligible immediately. Isaac appeared in all 14 games for the Trojans in the 2013 season, rushing for 236 yards on 40 carries with two touchdowns. He finished his high school career at Joliet Catholic Academy in Illinois with a school-record 5,305 yards rushing. LeRoy Alexander banned for season Nebraska defensive back LeRoy Alexander has been suspended for the 2014 football season. The Nebraska Athletic Department made the announcement Friday and did not give a reason for the suspension. Alexander will remain on scholarship and will be allowed to practice with the team. Alexander was expected to contend for significant playing time at safety. The sophomore played in all 13 games last season at safety and on special teams. Miller talked with coach Urban Meyer and verified that everything went according to plan during the operation, which was performed by noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews.
