Reaves' 23 points, late FT lift Oklahoma over Texas 80-79

The Oklahoma Sooners are surging. And when they can grab a tough win at Texas, it makes no difference to them the Longhorns were playing short-handed and without their coach.

Austin Reaves scored 23 points and made two free throws with 18.3 seconds left that proved to be the difference in an 80-79 victory that was stalled by constant fouls and video reviews, and wasn't settled until the Sooners intercepted a long inbounds pass at the end.

Mitchell 33 for No. 2 Baylor in 107-59 rout over K-State

Davion Mitchell and No. 2 Baylor again overwhelmed Kansas State in another lopsided game.

Mitchell made seven 3-pointers while scoring 31 points, besting his career high of 20 set last month against the Wildcats, and undefeated Baylor matched its second-best start in team history with a 107-59 victory Wednesday night.

David McCormack scored 15 points, Dajuan Harris and Tyon Grant-Foster provided a boost off the bench, and No. 15 Kansas slogged its way to a 59-51 victory over turnover-prone TCU on Thursday night to snap a rare three-game skid.

McCormack helps unranked KU beat No. 23 Oklahoma St. 78-66

It took the end of a record 231 consecutive weeks in the Top 25 for Kansas to play like a ranked team again.

After falling out of the poll for the first time since February 2009 earlier in the day, the Jayhawks leaned on big man David McCormack and a defense that forced No. 23 Oklahoma State into 19 turnovers to roll to a 78-66 victory Monday night.

No. 14 West Virginia sweeps No. 7 Texas Tech with 82-71 win

Sean McNeil drew the start when a groin injury sidelined Taz Sherman, who was coming off a career high in scoring, and the West Virginia guard hit his first shot 15 seconds into the game.

The junior kept it going from there.

McNeil scored a career-high 26 points and the No. 14 Mountaineers finished a regular-season sweep of seventh-ranked Texas Tech with an 82-71 victory over the Red Raiders on Tuesday night.

No. 13 West Virginia rallies from 19 down, tops No. 12 Texas

Bob Huggins didn't divulge exactly how he lit into his West Virginia team at halftime when it trailed Texas by 10 points.

"You wouldn't want to print what was said," the Mountaineers coach said.

The message registered. Sean McNeil and No. 13 West Virginia erased a 19-point deficit in the second half, then withstood a flurry of last-second misses to hold off No. 12 Texas 84-82 on Saturday.

No. 18 Texas Tech stops No. 14 Texas 68-59, ends 3-game skid

Texas Tech coach Chris Beard liked the feeling he got about the last game before March for his No. 18 Red Raiders.

A lot of players contributing in different ways, solid defense and a 68-59 win over No. 14 Texas on Saturday to end a three-game losing streak.
