Javan Felix (concussion) out vs. TCU

Texas sophomore guard Javan Felix will miss the 25th-ranked Longhorns' game at TCU on Tuesday night because of a concussion, the school announced Sunday night.

Texas (17-4, 6-2 Big 12) moved into second place in the conference with an 81-69 victory over No. 6 Kansas on Saturday. Felix was in a hard collision with Jayhawks 7-foot center Joel Embiid late in the game.

No. 16 ISU outlasts No. 19 Cowboys for first Stillwater win since 1988

None of Iowa State's players had been born the last time the Cyclones won at Oklahoma State's Gallagher-Iba Arena.

It took some extra effort, but Iowa State finally got it done. DeAndre Kane had 26 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists to help the 16th-ranked Cyclones defeat No. 19 Oklahoma State 98-97 in triple overtime on Monday night. It was Iowa State's first in Stillwater since March 2, 1988 -- a span of 18 games.

No. 8 Kansas rebounds by trouncing Baylor

Kansas coach Bill Self knows most people look at how Andrew Wiggins plays as a barometer for what to expect from the eighth-ranked Jayhawks.

Don't make the mistake of overlooking the other players around the Big 12's top-scoring freshman.

Naadir Tharpe scored 22 points, nine in a go-ahead run before halftime, and the Big 12-leading Jayhawks rebounded from their first league loss with a 69-52 victory at Baylor on Tuesday night.

Holmes carries No. 15 Texas past TCU 59-54

Jonathan Holmes figures No. 15 Texas needed a lesson in what life will be like as a Big 12 contender.

The Longhorns got it against last-place TCU, and won anyway.

Holmes had 20 points and a career-high 16 rebounds, and the Longhorns followed a big win over Kansas by erasing a halftime deficit and hanging on to beat the Horned Frogs 59-54 on Tuesday night, extending their winning streak to seven games.

Eron Harris catches fire after halftime to lift WVU past No. 21 OU

Eron Harris helped put a stop to West Virginia's long drought against ranked opponents.

The sophomore scored 26 of his 28 points after halftime and the Mountaineers outlasted No. 21 Oklahoma 91-86 in overtime Wednesday night.

Wiggins leads No. 8 KU past West Virginia 83-69

Every time West Virginia coach Bob Huggins looked to the scorer's table, Kansas coach Bill Self was getting ready to send another line change into the game.

You see, depth is a luxury for the eighth-ranked Jayhawks. It's a liability for the Mountaineers.

So as the fouls began to pile up Saturday, Kansas was able to keep shuffling fresh bodies into the game. That allowed the defending Big 12 champions to bide their time until their starters could take over down the stretch, spurring them on to an 83-69 victory.

Kansas State ends No. 15 Texas' seven-game winning streak

Texas coach Rick Barnes understands how imperative the latter half of the conference schedule is for Kansas State. His team, however, didn't receive the message.

After escaping TCU with a win on Tuesday, the Longhorns went through a hangover at the hands of the Wildcats.

With only one road win in conference play, the Wildcats needed to continue their dominance on their home court and they capitalized in almost every facet of the game.

Marcus Foster scored a career-high 34 points on 13-of-16 shooting, and Kansas State beat No. 15 Texas 74-57 on Saturday, ending the Longhorns' seven-game winning streak.

Melvin Ejim scores Big 12-record 48 as Iowa State trounces TCU

With about 9 minutes left in Iowa State's game with TCU, Georges Niang of the Cyclones caught teammate Melvin Ejim looking up at the giant scoreboard that hangs over the center of the court.

"I'm like, what's he looking at?" Niang said. "I looked up and he had 35 (points) and I was like, holy smoke, this could be a crazy night."

Ejim scored a Big 12-record 48 points, making 20 of 24 shots, and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds to lead No. 16 Iowa State past TCU 84-69 on Saturday, keeping the Horned Frogs winless in the conference.

Ejim had two 3-pointers and six dunks during his big game, one on a spectacular fast-break lob from DeAndre Kane that gave the Cyclones (18-4, 6-4 Big 12) a 67-52 lead and effectively put the game out of reach.

OK State's Marcus Smart shoves fan late in loss to Texas Tech

Marcus Smart hustled back on defense to prevent a dunk and went careening into the crowd behind the basket. He was helped to his feet with only seconds remaining and No. 19 Oklahoma State on its way to a fourth straight defeat.

That's when all the trouble started.

Suddenly incensed, Smart got in the face of a Texas Tech fan who appeared to say something to the star guard. Smart shoved him with two hands.

The man stumbled backward a bit but didn't fall. Teammates quickly pulled Smart away from the fracas, and he pointed back in the direction of the fan.

Smart was called for a technical foul but was not ejected. He remained on the bench until the final buzzer.

As fans stormed the court to celebrate Texas Tech's 65-61 win Saturday night, Smart was escorted off the floor by a man wearing Oklahoma State colors -- with a uniformed police officer trailing right behind.

Cousins leads No. 21 Oklahoma past Baylor, 88-72

Oklahoma guard Isaiah Cousins ruined Baylor's Plan B.

The Bears, burned by 11 Sooners 3-pointers in the first half, extended their defense in the second half to stop the onslaught. Cousins responded by attacking the basket and scoring 15 of his career-high 21 points after the break to help No. 21 Oklahoma beat Baylor 88-72 on Saturday night.

    Marcus Smart suspended 3 games

Oklahoma State star Marcus Smart has been suspended for three games for shoving a Texas Tech fan in the final seconds of Saturday's game, Cowboys coach Travis Ford announced Sunday.

Smart tried to block Jaye Crockett's dunk attempt from behind with 6.2 seconds to go but stumbled out of bounds behind the basket. As he was being helped up, he exchanged words with a fan in the front row before lunging for the fan and pushing him with two hands. The fan, wearing a black Texas Tech shirt, stumbled backward but did not fall.

Kansas State blows late lead but hangs on to upset No. 7 Kansas in OT

Kansas State's Marcus Foster was battered and bruised, just like everyone else on the court, and was having a hard time limping around during breaks in the play.

When the final buzzer sounded, he had no problem jumping up in celebration.

Foster scored a game-high 20 points, two coming on free throws in the closing seconds of overtime, and helped the Wildcats hold off No. 7 Kansas 85-82 on Monday night.

West Virginia hands No. 11 Iowa State its worst loss of season

It was tough to tell what Remi Dibo enjoyed more: being the centerpiece of West Virginia's 3-point show against No. 11 Iowa State, or clamping down on Big 12 scoring leader Melvin Ejim.

Dibo scored a career-high 20 points to lead the Mountaineers to a 102-77 victory Monday night, the Cyclones' most lopsided loss of the season.

Javan Felix's 6 3-pointers lead No. 19 Texas past Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State came to Texas on a four-game losing streak made worse by the suspension of star guard Marcus Smart.

The No. 19 Longhorns were in no mood to show them any mercy.

Javan Felix scored 27 points, making six of Texas' 11 3-pointers, and the Longhorns rolled to an easy 87-68 win Tuesday behind a dominant first half.

    Joel Embiid's status uncertain

Kansas center Joel Embiid's status remains uncertain for Saturday's game against TCU.

"I don't know yet how long he'll be out for, if he'll miss any games," Jayhawks coach Bill Self told ESPN.com on Wednesday. "It's up in the air."

"Will he play against TCU?" Self added. "I don't know yet."

Self said the 7-foot freshman, projected by some as the top pick in June's NBA draft if he elects to leave college after one season, had an MRI on his injured back

Jordan Bachynski's block keys Sun Devils' upset of No. 2 Arizona

Arizona State went away from Jermaine Marshall until it needed him most. He came through, and so did Jordan Bachynski with another game-saving block.

When it was over, the Sun Devils' fans rushed the court twice -- beating your biggest rival in double overtime is that much fun.

Fighting through a defensively dominated game, Arizona State pulled out arguably the biggest home win in school history, knocking off No. 2 Arizona 69-66 in double overtime Friday night.

Perry Ellis, Andrew Wiggins spark No. 7 Kansas' rout of TCU

Kansas sophomore Perry Ellis is a man of very few words.

Chances are the roughly 16,000 fans chanting his name Saturday could help him out.

Ellis scored a career-high 32 points to lead the seventh-ranked Jayhawks to a 95-65 victory over TCU, and then answered every question posed to him in his typically understated fashion.

No. 11 Iowa State staves off Texas Tech's second-half rally

It went into the books as a win for Iowa State.

But after blowing an 18-point lead in the second half, there wasn't much for the Cyclones to celebrate.

DeAndre Kane had 17 points with nine assists and No. 11 Iowa State sneaked past Texas Tech 70-64 on Saturday.

Five players score in double figures as No. 19 Texas tops West Virginia

West Virginia came to Texas on a roll, surging upward in the Big 12 as perhaps the most dangerous team to play over the second half of the conference season.

The Mountaineers ran into a Longhorns team that has been the surprise of the season and just now seems to be hitting its stride on both ends of the court.

Javan Felix scored 18 points and No. 19 Texas used another impressive offensive effort to roll to an 88-71 victory Saturday night, a win that kept the Longhorns within a game of Kansas for the Big 12 lead.

Andrew Wiggins lifts No. 8 Kansas late in Joel Embiid's return

Kansas coach Bill Self felt more than a little fortunate that his No. 8 Jayhawks pulled out a 64-63 win against a very tough Texas Tech team.
