The day a nerd can plug into his Xbox or Play Station and pull in seven figures and get BJ's from hot models. That's the end of competitive sports and music. That's why 90 per cent of people do anything. as well as the ego boost and status. The day I turn on ESPN to see that I will hang them up my fan viewership rights.
That day has arrived my friend. Nerds have overtaken the Jocks. All the hot boxing ring girls have gone to eSports.
Jocks are nerds now too, Gordon Hayward plays League of Legends. The number 1 pick in the NFL draft watches an obscure anime.
Take away the "White Lebron" moniker, does the Indiana waif pull in a wife like that.... I think not. Regardless of how ballin' he is on League of Legends.
My number #1 thing I'd want to do is play basketball. I don't get any money or blowjobs for it. Millions of people prefer to play music, or play a sport over video games. You're making stuff up. 90% of people do stuff because of blowjobs, making millions, and to stroke their ego? What???
What does the mean? You were calling out us older posters for being old. You used advanced age as a bad thing. Just letting the youngins know that with age comes some positive things as well.
How many failed musicians and pro athletes are there?? My guess would be millions.... I'm not saying it's not a passion. But my guess is gaming will become even more popular than it is right now to the average kid. Like Mick Jagger said. "What can a poor boy do but play in a rock 'n roll band?!" My guess is in the future it will be to play video games.
You might not like video games but honestly I'm not sure what your issue is. Playing, being the coach, as well as the owner, and the player is fucking awesome. It is very gratifying to be the one calling the pick-and-roll with Dame/Nurk, then roll all in Dwight Howard's face. It's also very very gratifying to play an entire season developing your players making trades etc.
I'm 40. I'm gonna game until my 150th birthday when my hands don't work and I have the fucking virtual reality chip installed. I've been playin' the hoop game since Double Dribble
I don't even like playing the actual games in 2k/Madden that much anymore, I just like being the GM in the season/franchise modes and trading and drafting players and seeing how well they play. Those damn games as well as old school Nba Live are most of the reason why I know who most of players from the nba in the last twenty years are.
It was a joke that you responded to with seriousness, bringing up your career, and then you wonder why people target your career. Haha.
That's a great part about those games. You literally don't have to play the actual game if you don't want to. Just be the GM.
Why would you bring up my career as something negative? What do you do for a living? Are you proud of what you do?
