I don't blame them for picking Bowie over Jordan... As mentioned they had Paxson and Drexler in the SG position... So they took what they needed most at the time... Now they prolly were kicking themselves after...
I read in Clyde's book (read it! It's great!) that he wouldn't mind back in the day to play alongside Jordan, but as some of you already said: Bowie was a promising big man, and that's what they needed at that time.
Well, the main reason the blazers drafted bowie was because they already had clyde the glide. though apparently when Jack Ramsay asked Bobby Knight who he should draft bobby knight said michael Jordan. Jack Ramsay said "but we need a center" and Knight replied "Then play Jordan at center!"
