Is there a reason why Enes has played 5 minutes this year?

The world needs people like Kanter, but not necessarily athletes like him. He's in the entertainment business. Sometimes, it's best to keep your head down and just do your job. Ruffle too many feathers, and suddenly people are no longer entertained and you're no longer employed. Being right isn't always right.

He was often out of the rotation for them two year ago. I'd assume they want better defense.

I'd be all for having Enes on the Blazers most seasons; but it's probably best not to have him on the team this year while trying to focus on building a better defense. When the Blazers defense is so bad you probably need to overcorrect to make it better, need to have everybody making an effort and providing value there. Having such a horrible defender can spread bad habits throughout the rest of the roster.

If the defense gets to average or better and the team has established very good habits I'd be all for bringing him in next year. The guy can really do damage on offense. Seeing Nurk blow all the easy little bunny shots makes me wish for Enes inside play even more.

Surprised me he went back there. The season before he came back to us from Boston, I don’t think he got much run either.
