What are you talking about? He went to the Spurs and Pop single handily turned him into a perennial 6th man of the year candidate.
This may come as a shocker but the only reason any NBA player is in the league is they possess an attribute that lends itself to the game of basketball...
Perennial? He was only in San Antonio for two years. And shouldn't he have received at least one SMOY vote if he was a candidate? I can't find him in either the 2014 or 2015 results.
Is there something in the air this week? I was making a reference to how some people always act like the Spurs can do no wrong, and every player that goes there is turned into a great catch.
It's tough when someone who is seldom wrong on this board makes the occasional whiff. It stands out because it does happen so seldom. Now, in HCP's case...
If we keep him he should be on a 2 way contract and be assigned to the G league...paid G league scale unless called up to the majors.
Forutnately, "a while" is an indeterminate amount of time. Just recalibrate yours to about 10 minutes or so, and you're good to go.
PAtty C is a hustler player. He'll never be anything more than that. When he got minutes before the end of the season. He was very much miss. He had a game or two when he had an impact on the defensive end. But for the majority of the time he was miss.(and I'm not talking about his shot) PatC experiment is over. Kudos to him for being a 2 sport athlete. But NBA basketball is over for him.
GOT EMMMM. Nailed it. What does Pat do well?? He is mentally stronger than Meyers, that's about it. Exactly. Luckily for Pat he doesn't make much (in the grand scheme of things)
I'm not sure if this is a case for Pat, or against Pat, but he does have some value... For example, this trade doesn't work without him: But works with him: If we trade him before the 25th, the team we trade him to has the option of declining his 2017-18 team option and knocking almost $1.5 million off their payroll and salary cap. BNM
I think Pat is a lot better than he's given credit for. He's not great by any means. But, I believe that if given a consistent role with the team he could provide at least 80% of what Evan Turner provided us last season. And 110% of what Aminu provided us. Like I said - not great. But given his salary, I'd rather have him on the team and get rid of Turner*/Aminu. *For some odd reason, I'm slightly hopeful that Turner will be good this season...or at least significantly better than he was last season. I have no reason to feel this way, but I do.
