Good call. Funny so many Serbs have that look. He looks like Ted Cassidy. I knew another Serbian wine maker name Esomovic that looked like a brother of Marjanovic, little brother, only about 6'7".

So did he get injured or something? 6 minutes in a start, only 2 fouls.

Beat the drum to HCP so that he can show this specific thread to Neil Olshey.

This is a very very good player. Can we bring him to Portland? No Kidding, I think he could be special.

I havent even read this thread yet, not all the way through, but I have an opinion about this. Europe for the most part has failed to produce much more than bench players at best. Yes there has been a small handful, but it's small.

11 players that you had to go back... what almost 30 years to come up with?

What would be interesting is to find out what percentage of European players become star players in the NBA, versus the percentage of Americans that become star players.

I am far from trolling. I have seen these European players touted over and over again on the web all over, in reality very very few pan out into much more than a roll player. Percentage wise I am sure fewer American players pan out but it's a much larger pool to pick from for sure. Lets look at our own Joel Freeland from last season. He was MVP Runner up in the ACB league, arguably the best Euro League. Here he was at best a backup. My opinion on this is that evaluating European players is like evaluating mid major and lower college level players, mostly due to the fact that the style of game is vastly different. The best figure would be going down the list of players taken in the Top 10 over the last 10 years and seeing how much success is found there. And of that weed out the players that played College ball in the USA instead of 17U ball in Europe.
