    I doubt if any info on his progress will leak out for the rest of the regular season...he'll probably address it before the playoffs would be my guess

    I don't think it's the case that OKC had the better package

    Blazers had three 1st round picks, and reportedly, they offered all three. But also, reportedly (and by Olshey's own words), they refused to include CJ which meant they didn't have anything else attractive in terms of players

    remember now, that was right after CJ had his career year and was much better than Oladipo that just completed season:

    points/gm: CJ 23.0....Oladipo 15.9
    assists/gm: CJ 3.6....Oladipo 2.6
    PER: CJ 19.9....Oladipo 13.6
    TS%: CJ .585....Oladipo .534
    FT rate: CJ .204....Oladipo .165
    winshares/48: CJ .131....Oladipo .085
    box plus/minus: CJ +1.0....Oladipo -1.3
    value over replacement: CJ 2.1....Oladipo 0.4

    pretty heavy advantages for CJ. Now, it's possible that Indiana would have still liked Oladipo and Sabonis more, but it's very likely the case that Olshey never tested it

    CJ was supposed to have been re-evaluated in a week, which was yesterday or today. Not sure if they'll announce any further timeline

    McCollum already said that he is basically being evaluated every day. I think the week evaluation was to get the reporters off their backs and not constantly asking the same questions every day. I know Curry had a very similar injury and he was back playing in 15 days, but I would imagine the Blazers will be cautious so as to not rush him back to soon where it might get aggravated.

    Just saw a update he is not traveling with the team on their 4 game trip. according to Quick

    "Terry Stotts says CJ McCollum (left knee strain) is progressing but will not accompany Blazers on trip to Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit and Minnesota."

    That's what talking heads do. They talk.

    When they are scoring games based on backcourt size, I'll take a comment like that seriously. Otherwise, I'd just say this guy lost any credibility he had ... if I even knew who the heck he was.
