Shlemenko just became the first fighter to be subjected to stricter penalties for failed drug tests in modern MMA.

The 31-year old tested positive for (massively) elevated testosterone following his win over Melvin Manhoef at Bellator 133 in February. His victory was ruled a no-contest and he was fined $10,000 plus.

The suspension is the big deal. Storm has been given a three-year ban, effectively ruining his career. He'll be eligible to return in February of 2018.

The three-year ban is part of the not-yet-enacted NSAC guidelines crafted earlier this summer. Suspensions for PED's are the harshest, with 3-, 4-, and lifetime-bans for first time to repeat offenders. There is some leeway in the way the punishments may be dolled-out but in this case Shelmenko has been given the suggested punishment.

    Storm's E:T ratio was supposedly over 9000. I mean 50:1.
