I just saw Sin City again yesterday. It is interesting how much wittier and advanced the dialogue is in that movie, and the stories there seem more structured with a better flow. I enjoyed that movie more so I wouldn't say Batman is technically the best comic book movie ever. Although Sin City is a "graphic novel" (maybe a future genre too) too (like some Batman comics).

Okay first of all Yama's a beast

I finished the movie this morning but couldn't really comment because I was busy. Anyways, great movie. Probably one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Christian Bale was awesome, and Heath was great as the Joker. Not much more I can say about this movie that hasn't been said before, I'm definitely getting this on DVD.

But I have a couple of questions

Is Fox, Morgan Freemon's character going to be back for the next movie? Also, did anyone find it odd how Bruce didn't really react that much to Rachel's death? I thought they were friends from birth. I personally expected a little more drama...

Also, another question, this is actually about the first movie. I saw it a while ago so I don't really remember, but what was Bruce doing in the beginning of Batman Begins? Was he in a prison or something, and why? Was it ever explained?

Dunno about the first question but yes, it was explained why Bruce was in a prison ins some under-developed asian village. Bruce went to kill the man who murdered his father because he was in court for something (maybe parole? or he was bieng released? I don't know why but he was out of prison and in court somewhere in Gotham). Bruce was waiting for the guy in the lobby of the court house but right as the guy left the court room someone else came in and assassinated him before Bruce could. Bruce was pissed because he was waiting so long to do that, so he told Rachel, who then dropped him off at Falcone's (the corrupt mayor) hangout, can't remember why exactly but she wanted him to go tell Falcone to his face or something. So Bruce does confront Falcone and Falcone basically tells him that hes just a rich bitch and he doesn't know anything about crime, the streets, poor people, etc. so Bruce leaves right there and lives as a "thief" for the next like 7 years IIRC. Eventually hes caught and arrested somewhere in asia, which is why hes in the prison at the beginning. From there hes approached by the guy from the league of shadows.

BTW just checked wiki and it says one of Falcone's henchmen killed the murderer of Bruce's father. Thats probably why Bruce confronted Falcone.

I'm still loving it a day later. I thought it was fitting that a trailer for "The Watchmen" aired right before the movie, because it was really similar to that graphic novel. Both transcended the comic book genre and really touched on deeper themes about morality, society, and the whole "hero" concept.

Two Face has to be the focus of the third movie (if they make it) the more I think about it. This movie was so great because it emphasized some of the stronger themes from the comics. The other Batman villains are all great, but making any of them the focus would just create another hero/villain film and that'd be a huge letdown after this one. Two Face is such a deep and complex character that he could avoid that.

I'm still loving it a week later.

I'm so tempted to download a cam version of the movie, but that's going to ruin it, even if it's a second viewing. C'mon, DVD quality version!

I also watched Batman Begins, a few days ago, and as good as a movie it is, it's got nothing on The Dark Knight.

Batman Begins was a great "origins" movie, but this one really caught the best of the Batman franchise.

If they are going to use Catwomen in the next film, or future films, will they use Halle Berry?

Oh yea, I watched Tim Burton's Batman, too. I thought Micheal Keaton was awful as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

The writers have already stated they dont want to do catwoman, and especially dont want to do robin! seems fair to me, bale's batman is a young batman, so robin is a few movies away.

anyway i think the third installement of nolan/bale batman flicks will include harvey two face, he didnt die, thats to weak a story ending, he'll be back crayzier and hating batman with a passion! Just the way the character should be, ofcourse i think there will also be introduced another villain.

The writers say they would like to use a character that hasnt been used on the big screen yet, maybe the scarecrow will become a main villain? Harley Quinn, the villainess who falls in love with the joker? Bane?

Black spider is a good character, Eric Needham, his real name, was a small time crook who was addicted to heroin. Desperate for money to buy more drugs, he robbed a liquor store and killed the owner, who turned out to be his father. After being arrested, he kicked the habit out of remorse and began a war on the drug trade. Donning a costume, he became a self-styled vigilante and began killing those suspected of dealing drugs. This soon brought him into conflict with Batman. Needham believed that the two should be allies, as he saw common purpose in their war against criminals. His murderous methods however continually put him at odds with the Dark Knight. ??? could work...

Copperhead, the snake guy? ive got more, im a huge comic fan, mainly batman. Crazy-Quilt is so cool, look him up on wiki, he's like this painter, who leads a double life as a criminal, and leaves clues in his paintings for his henchmen, he can only see in blinding, dissorienting colours, which drives him insane.
Hugo Strange? he is an old, old, old-school villain.
