Muscle weighs more than fat, so you may actually be losing weight (in general) faster than it seems. The key things are that you eat a nutritious diet even if it's less calories, and that you do exercise even if it's taking a half hour walk a few times a week. I think I mentioned that one of the first things I did was to switch to diet soda. 4 cans of regular soda is on the order of 600 calories, or 1/3 the recommended daily allowance!
Diet soda is worse because of the artificial sweetener. I tried the diet soda way with a diet and gained more weight. I find most people that drink diet soda are actually still overweight. Not to criticize or anything, I say to do what you believe is best for you and what works for you. For me, I still drink one regular soda every day and I have no issue because I only put a certain amount of food on my plate. Also, aside from an occasional rugby game every other month or so I don't do much exercise. Calorie counting is something I never did though, just to note. I still ate a hamburger once a week, pizza every three weeks or so and only ate meals twice per day. Something interesting to note is that a regular sleeping schedule and 8 to 9 hours per night helps in the weight loss process. Weight loss was more mental then physical for me. I should post before and after photos. lol
The law of thermodynamics. Diet soda has 0 calories. If you gain weight drinking it, it's retained water
You can believe what you like my friend, but I won't debate about it. I have arguments with people all the time about the subject of diet soda, but I know how my health is in comparison to people I know personally. I'm just glad you found your own methods and that they worked. BTW, I've never had gout, or known anyone with that. How bad is it? For me, changing and cleansing your body (especially a colon cleanse using Yerba Prima - thanks MJordan), but keeping your food interests in tact and being mentally strong is the key.
For me, the gout was like someone shot my big toe with Novocaine. Most people who get it say it's really painful. I also had a low grade fever for about 30 days. 99.6 instead of 98.6
Yeah I read that, but I can't think of how that would feel. That's awful. The most painful thing I've had was when my spinal chord was dislodged and I had to go to my sports physician for chiropractic treatment. I was in so much pain I thought I was having a heart attack when I first woke up because I had the bar across the chest feeling, sweating and other pain on the left side of my body but mostly in the arm. It worsened throughout the day and the only way it wasn't excruciating to the point where I'd yell out was if I put my forehead down to my right knee and push a pillow into my stomach. I had to wait seven hours before finally getting treated. Yeah I read that part too. I had no idea that the issues you had could cause such a problem.
Turkey contains "purines" which is supposed to trigger gout attacks. I went the longest time eating no beef or turkey, lots of chicken and fish, and very lean beef (flank steaks). After the 90 days and I went to the doctor, I felt so good I tried turkey and it's caused me no problems. Nor have legumes which also have purines (that'd be things like peanuts and peas, anything that grows in a pod).
Lorry Crane Hi, Before operating the crane, operators should carefully read and understand the operation manual from the crane manufacturer. You can get more information from www(dot)hmf-crane(dot)co(dot)uk.
