You mean the Nazi's weren't waiving their flag about being god's chosen people and that the jews are to blame and not the french reparations?
Yes, thank you for the condescension! I also know they killed blacks and Gypsies and homosexuals. Did I leave anyone else out? Was I writing my thesis?
Whatever, I give up. I'm not going to search for "hitler believes he was chosen by God" on my work computer. If you guys don'y think religion is a big part of how leaders control their flock to go to war, then I think you are wrong. End of my argument. Feel free to continue to argue.
oh yeah no, all the talking heads in the media claiming that religion is off limits yada yada, anyone bringing it up is a hate criminal etc
Germany wasn't some unified religion. It was maybe 1/2 Catholic and 1/2 Protestant. Hitler went about his deeds for the good of the Nation and the Aryan Race. I don't see where you think religion entered the picture. Hitler may have rarely talked about religion, but there is nothing I've seen that suggests Hitler was "anointed by God" to be leader of Germany (much like the kings of England/France/etc. were). If anything, Hitler himself was something of a messianic figure.
