Pietrus is not a SF. He's a SG. Dunleavy brings so much more than just a nice stroke. You need guys like that to be successful.
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/mickael_piet...x.html?nav=page It says on the roster sheet next to Mickael Pietrus "G/F" so the guy can play forward. A severely under-sized forward, but with long enough arms to play like a big man. He's taller than Jrich probably in terms of real height and not listed height.
And also, while he's not a true SF, no one says that he can't play as one. Tons of players play out of position and succeed there- look at Sprewell. Also, does being listed as the starting SF really affect anything once the game starts and it's just 5 players on the court? After all, KG, who's a 4, guards 5's, 3's, and 2's. What they're listed as doesn't really matter.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting custodianrules2:</div><div class="quote_post">Raja Bell who is 6'5", plays a 3 but I think he's a natural 2. Great underrated player.</div>Yes, the Mavs are suffering without him. He was their best defensive player.
its obvious that the Warriors need a system. Like Custodianrules says, Raja Bell is seriously underrated, so i Kirilenko in my opinion, but he did get some notice, to beat out some others for an All-Star position. like i was saying, the W's need a system that the team can stick to, and that translates into keeping a coaching staff together. Dunleavy's played 2 seasons under musselman and that says alot about a player for the Warriors. how many coaches has Damp played under...4-5? I think Dunleavy will be able to grow, along with JRich, Pietrus, Speedy, and Troy to become a very talented group of guys. JRich himself has come along way, he didn't really have any defensive ability the past two years, and he couldn't jump off of one foot if it had to save his life. Now, none of us are talking alot of smack about him, but if i remember correctly, and other ESPN board refugees back me up on this one, but JRich was the butt of quite a few bashing threads. Let's let people develop, and hopefully W's management will sign Muss up for a few more seasons, so something can grow here.
