His flaw is that he thought he was a #1. It always cracked me up how he would try to take over games while he was playing with KD. He just had no situational awareness. After KD left, he proved that he can't be a #1. He's a stat stuffer. That's it. If the guy had understood his role and played more like Chris Paul, he could have gone down as one of the best point guards of all time. His own ego is what held him back.
100% -- Westbrook was one of the main reasons Durant left OKC and he's only gotten more dedicated to his act, since.

that's irrelevant. teams can't negotiate with other team's players until day 1 of free agency. (yes, i know they circumvent these rules all the time)
I don't want the Nets or Lakers to get better....and KD will have to sign off on Portland for anything to happen....I just don't think it's going to be a reality
League should tap their phones. What will be the punishment? Adam Silver can fly an F-16 around the country. Tampering in LA? He’s there… An hour later tampering in Chicago… He’s there. Not to like… Attack them, that shouldn’t be the punishment. Just to get there fast…
I'm not sure that's correct. Kyrie is not technically a free agent right now. Chris Paul communicated with Houston and then agreed he would not exercise his option so the Clippers traded him to Houston. This might be a similar situation.
If the alternative is Irving leaving and himself being traded to Utah maybe Davis and Westbrook with him in Brooklyn doesn't sound so bad.
I'm going to assume Durant goes elsewhere. What, if anything will happen to Ben Simmons? I wonder if Portland can get him for a couple of future picks, Keon, and change?
Hell No! Keep Simmons as far away from this team as possible, how can you guys still want him when we all saw what happened with him and the Nets and his “mental” issues I’m telling you guys it will be a joke if we get him, I don’t care how good of a defender he is it will be useless when he is a liability on offense and late in games.
Woj: The uncertainty surrounding Irving's future with the Nets continues to leave the franchise vulnerable to a Kevin Durant trade request, but that has yet to materialize, sources said. Durant has four years left on his contract and remained an advocate for the Nets to commit to a long-term deal for Irving, sources said. Numerous teams around the league are preparing to pursue Durant, one of the elite players in the sport, if he becomes available. i think all this is just a leverage play by kyrie to get an extension. he's not leaving close to 40 mil on the table.
same noise last year about how LA was going to land DeRozan for the midlevel when he got a 30 mil deal. it ain't happening.
