I also believe that come playoff time, the Cavaliers will beat the Pistons if they should play each other again. I really feel the they are the most legit team in the East.</div>Detroit has won 6 games in a row at this point, and I cant go against that. They play so well together and they have 4 different guys on their team that can be their best player any night, and I love that about a team. They can beat you in so many different ways. When they want to play defense, they play lock down defense. When they want or need to outscore you, they will outscore you. Cleveland has alot of question marks IMO. Hughes' health is a big one to me. He needs to be healthy this year and come playoff time for this team to be able to go to the finals. Im not going to say that Detroit would beat Cleveland in a 7 game series, because I just dont know, but I do believe that Detroit IS playing better basketball than Cleveland at this point in time.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ASUFan22 @ Nov 30 2006, 06:32 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Well the Iowa college football fans are some of the best in the country. I think if there's just one pro team there they will support it very well. But there are some more deserving cities. But seriously...Montana, Dakota? Hah...I think Oklahoma City should get one with the way they've supported the Hornets.</div>That is true, however, they have a guaranteed fanbase in their students, and a very committed fanbase in their alum. It's pretty hard to just get random people like that to come every time or nearly every time. There's fewer games than in basketball, too. Also, in college football, (I'm pretty sure on this, anyway) the conferences share revenues and salaries. A team in that area could be supported to some extent by other teams that don't run at a loss.Oh, and finally, a lot of college sports do lose money. At many colleges, football pays for the other sports. Many colleges are phasing out sports, because they're just too expensive.
<span style="font-family:Lucida Console">Amazing to know that basically everyone in the Pacific Division (LAL, LAC, PHX, Jazz, etc.) would be in the Playoffs over the entire Eastern Conference.. Simply amazing.</span>
Not really, Detroit, Cleveland, and Orlando all three have better records than the Clippers, so they would not make the playoffs over them teams.

There may have been a few more good teams, but the West had the Suns, Rockets, Seattle, LA, Utah, and Lakers were still good, so this is more than just a cycle if you take away the Bulls winning 6 titles, lol. This whole "West is better than the East" deal breaks down into two major things for me. And it's not just about the best players being the West. Not only does the West have better Coaches, GM's, and in general overall organizations, you also have to take into account that the league, as a whole, has gone to a more fast paced, running game, and the East doesn't play that way.I remember about 4-5 years ago, everyone said the West was better because of all the "Big's" in the West compared to the East(TD, KG, Dirk, Shaq, C-Webb, a young Yao), but now that's not true with Shaq, Dwight Howard, Okafur, Big Ben :no1 and the like over there.Okay, okay...now I'm just ramblin, lol :no1: .
Its the start of the season!Pistons are starting to win like last year, Larry Hughes is out like last year. Ever thing is the same.
Yeah the leastern conference is plain horrible this year. I expect Miami to win it again by default of how bad it is. Hopefully Detroit proves me wrong.

Shaq is supposed to be back by January so they will probably make a run by March and it will probably be enough to win the weak east.

There going to be #1 in the East. I know, it sounds like I'm overrating my team, but if Hughes is 100% look out. Cavs are no joke.
