You may not agree with some o her political views but you should listen to her as she is a pretty smart and charismatic young lady. Her intelligence level is far superior to trumps.

Cup, I just don't buy into the belief that Government should provide everything , medical/education etc. at tax payers expense. People should work and have skin in the game. I believe she even advocates open borders which I oppose. Im all for immigration but managed properly.
I know she is charismatic and am sure a very nice person, I'm just a bit more small government guy.

Why personally attack her character? Once again, open borders does not mean people can just cross in and out of the USA at free will.

If we divert all US commercial jets to places around the globe, wonder how long it will take for us to move over 1 billion people here?

    That would fix everything.

I wasn't attacking her character, I just question her opinion on how to pay for things and like any young person starting a career still has a lot to learn. I do think she is probably a very nice smart young person. I hope she can make a difference in congress.
Im not for a wall, Im for this government finally coming up, with a sound immigration policy and management. Im ok with legit asylum, that is also managed well. Like in everything there must be a decent balance.
    Take care

    Hilarious.

She is a moron, with no basic understanding of our government, no basic education in US history, no moral conscience, and an inability to refrain from demonstrating her ignorance by opening her mouth.

She will be mocked by her “peers” until she fades into obscurity.

Hmm. According to this site there are roughly 7,500 commercial jets in the US. They vary in size, of course, but let's say an average of 200 passengers per plane. The number of trips per day would be dependent on where they're flying to, but let's assume an average of a 10 hour flight each way plus time to refuel, service the planes, etc. so about 1 trip per day. That means you could theoretically move 1.5 million people here a day. That means you could move a billion people here in 666 days. Since that's well known to be the devil's number, we'd better add a day for safety, so 1.83 years would be a decent estimate.

But think of the impact on global warming! It would be better just to solve that first. Figuring per normal that the government will screw up anything it touches, they're going to go overboard and start a new ice age. Once that happens, the immigrants can just walk here across the ice bridge. Problem solved!

Its already been proven, by the Koch brothers no less, that a public health care system would be more cost effective for the US government than how we pay for it now.

As far as education goes I dont understand why the older generations feel that they should have affordable education but the younger ones should not. When my dad went to school he could pay for it with a summer job. When my Kids go to school they will have the loan the size of a house. An educated population is in the national interest also. If we expect to compete on the world stage for much longer we need more people with educations to do so. We are getting to a point where it is not affordably to go to school and we are reaching a tipping point with our education debt that people wont be able to pay back which will lead to mass defaults.

I think as far as paying for it goes, its obvious that both of these pay for themselves in the long run. In the short run its disgusting the amount we give away to corporations, tax give aways to the rich, and the industrial military complex. If you truly are a small government guy then you should against two of those three ideas at least.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply annex India and make it the 51st state?

There are actually two issues here - provide everything - I agree with. medical and education however are directly contributing to the most important resource of the economy - people. It is simply beneficial for the country to have a healthy, educated workforce, especially in the modern economy - quite frankly, investing in people is the smartest thing a country can do for it's economy.

I'm sure you only meant that as a high compliment to Ocasio-Cortez, but if you would be so kind as to refrain from commenting on other posters' intelligence in a way that could be interpreted as derogatory, that'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That's the kind of creative thinking they're looking for in the Trump Administration. You should apply.

My application is already pending. They said I was plenty stupid enough, and I scored high on amorality, but I need to show them more evidence of my grifting ability. I am working on a new scheme...
