Not sure, it is most likely a Fifa issue.

    Is your CD scratched?

I'm not gonna lie, initially this game was awesome but it's starting to get worse and worse for me. I find myself quitting almost every game halfway through.

Nope. CD isn't scratched at all.

To make sure, everyone's been complaining about the bugs and glitches in fifa (manager mode
& online play most especially) on the boards. So its not just me. The bugs in FIFA 09 and 10 are horrible. I would trade in amazing graphics for better gameplay and detailed info anyday.

I'm definitely going to try and ask for a refund.

    Re: The FIFA 10 Thread

Yeah, when PES comes out I'll be getting is straight away and I'll tell you if it's worth the $60.

Usually I am never disappointed in PES but a lot of people hate having unlicensed teams -- It doesn't bother me as it's pretty easily fixed.

Generally it comes with Liverpool and United plus another "big" club but I'm not sure which ones they're going for this year. I would love for them to add Arsenal but I don't think it will happen.

All of the players have the same names and the players mostly look exactly like the real life person. Andrey Arshavin looks uncanny in PES2009.

Fifa only just introduced their 360 dribbling this year (which is the one a only good improvement from 2009, in my opinion) but PES have had it for about three years now. In the old Fifas, the players used to run on invisible tracks basically, but "360 dribbling" has always been the case for PES.

I would like the new PES to be a little friendlier on the eye with the menu graphics and music (it's always pretty lackluster) but once again, it's no real major issue.

I'm looking forward to its release, as I was with Fifa -- Hopefully I'm not too disappointed this time around.

Does anybody know the release date for PES2010?

I just checked, we gotta wait til November 4, bro.

So wait, can we change the names of the teams? (Which by the way, i'm willing to do if it means a much better gameplay). In short, will we be able to edit the things that the licensing laws prevent PES from having?

I am really, really disappointed with FIFA this year. Such a big step last year, only to fail miserably the next.

Yes, you can edit the team names, upload new kits, and edit their badges.

Usually a couple of months after PES is released, fans will start creating really good kits that look exactly like the official ones.

    Re: The FIFA 10 Thread

Honestly though I've been enjoying FIFA.

    - 360 movement compared to 09's 8-direction movement, it makes the gameplay a little more seamless.
    - computer AI looks for runs and makes lead passes. It is more challenging than last year.
    - the game is more physical yet there are fewer yellow cards with the new warning system.
    - manager mode is tighter and you make less money. At one point my friend and I had accumulated over 250m in funds with nothing to spend it on in the last game.
    - weather is back and looks good.
    - lots of generic stadiums to choose from in manager mode, ability to rename the stadium.

We're still trying to find a balance between very easy pro mode and very difficult world class, though.

I find the AI retarded. On professional, they never shoot on 1 vs. 1 chances and will lose out to the rushing keeper.

    Re: The FIFA 10 Thread

I'm not quite sure i'm bought on the PES game just yet.

Question, are second tier teams such as nottingham, middlesborough etc. in PES? And I looked around, but i says the team's names can't be edited?

I really do wish there were more companies than invested in the gamng business making it far more competitive. It seems as though they've really stopped buying for our business and just started making some games. Whatever the case, FIFA really "listened" to the wrong gamers. Far too many glitches for me to enjoy the game at this point IMO.

You can definitely edit the team names. As for lower league teams, I wouldn't know but they are included in the older PES games.

    Re: The FIFA 10 Thread

I agree that it is a bit easy to charge out with the keeper and take the ball. However it works both ways--the AI keeper comes way out and makes it much harder to score 1v1 than it has been in the past. I've been using lobs way more than I have previously.

I thought you hated the French! What happened to the good ol' patriotic Freedom Fries?

You haven't tried any fries until you've had fish and chips (white cod with vinegar and sea salt). Yummmm.

We had fish & chips a bunch in London and it was a soggy mess every time. Plus most of the places we went served steak fries disguised as chips and they were mush. Guess we didn't find the right kind of place.

I tend to you http://atdhe.net/watchtv.html for football matches but it doesn't show every game.

I can't remember to be honest, authentiq, I'll pop in my PES2009 tonight and have a look for you.
