Great defensive game plan by Tosh/Lanning. They were willing to stack the box to stop the run and put their secondary in a sub-optimal position of having to defend OSU's small receivers 1:1 in space, with the thought that DJU wouldn't be able to consistently beat them. Oregon was deeper, better, and more physical team tonight... and it wasn't by accident.
Agreed. I don't think people realize what a feat it is to build a deep front 7 and offensive line in the Pacific Northwest. Will serve them very well in the B1G.
Also, the constant pressure on DJ Ukelele helped a lot. He never had time to think. Was picking himself up off the ground all game. Oregon’s defensive line dominated the best offensive line in the Pac 12
Last year the defense had lots of disappointing games. Lots of fans questioning Lanning on that side of the ball. All it took was a year 2. He seemed to remedy that in a short period.

I am a Duck fan but root for the Beavers when they are not playing the Ducks but if J. Smith leaves his alma mater for Michigan St. ---- DAMN. What does that say about the Beaver program and how much they are about to turn back into a joke like when Pettibone ( Spelling? ) was the HC there and running the wishbone offense if I am remembering right and they were a joke then. I hope I am wrong and they can bounce back IF they lose J. Smith to Michigan State but still that is like a kick to the balls for the Beaver program.
