Highly unlikely. Tho at least one, maybe 2, were started by campers/humans who are dumbshits. I don't think either side ("Antifa" or "proud boys", etc) are the kind of people who would purposely set fire to trees. There is no empirical data that can back up the rumors of the fires being set by activists/arsonists. The only one that I have heard authorities raise the issue of arson about is the one that destroyed Talent and Phoenix. It's under investigation there. The State Police have said that there is no evidence of arson on any of the other fires.

Just got a news update from OLive saying that a guy down in Southern Oregon was arrested on arson charges for the Almeda fire that destroyed Talent and Phoenix and may have killed up to 50 people.
Yeah, we have to be careful about misinformation here with all the political stuff going on top of this. It seems someone was arrested for starting a fire. Is that confirmed? Some will inevitably be connected to people. We don't know if those people are affiliated with any group. Could have just been crazy psychopath arsonists.
With this said, just like at any time, I'm sure a couple of the fires will eventually be found to be connected to humans. I sincerely doubt they have anything to do with politics though, and more to do with methed out hillbillies doing crazy shit. Edit. Being from Southern Oregon, I know these types all too well.
