So you're saying Americans who couldn't cut it are going to rock Euro and Chinese basketball? Stephon Marbury and the Ball brothers?
Well yeah the future is foreign, because non-domestic players come from..... THE REST OF THE WORLD! You guys have been playing this game for a while. I would imagine a few of you would be pretty good at it. Kudos. Now please, discover the next Michael Jordan and convince him to demand the Blazers ONLY draft him.
What does it matter??? Their offspring will have genes of the gods. No document is gonna chamge that.
It blows me away there are no studs coming out of China? With that size of a pool to draw from, and as structured their athletic academy are, you'd think they would uncover a player. I read they have more recreational basketball players in China, than there are people in the US!!!
Yeah, it has been Yao, Wang, and pretty much nothing else. Really surprised we haven't seen some guard or forward come out of China.
Contrary to popular belief....a lot of Chinese athletes are famous at home and ride the pine in the NBA....in other words...around the globe there are many who prefer to play in Spain or China and aren't that interested in living in Cleveland. The African league will probably bring lots of prospects here. Ex Blazers Joel Freeland and Rudy Fernandez had great lives playing in Spain and probably not as much fun on the NBA circuit. Marbury is a superstar in China....in the NBA he was a Vaseline eating meme.....Jeremy Lin will have more endorsement deals than Lebron does in LA with his new Chinese team...and the cost of living over there is a speck of dust compared to here. Not every athlete thinks the NBA is the goal.
