    Nobody made this up:

At least 85 of 154 people from private interests who met or had phone conversations scheduled with Clinton while she led the State Department donated to her family charity or pledged commitments to its international programs, according to a review of State Department calendars released so far to The Associated Press. Combined, the 85 donors contributed as much as $156 million. At least 40 donated more than $100,000 each, and 20 gave more than $1 million.

You're spitting nonsense, give it up.

Both Clintons have been exposed as treasonous, lying, corporate whores who illegally traded our country's safety and wealth for their own personal financial gain.

Future generations will judge them to be the most prolific criminal couple ever to have set foot in the White House.

More bad news, @barfo. For you!

    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/05/u...ick&contentCollection=Politics&pgtype=article

Libertarian Gary Johnson Polls at 10 Percent. Who Are His Supporters?

Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate for president, may be on track to win more votes than any third-party candidate in 20 years, if current polling holds up.

    Who are his supporters?

Mr. Johnson, a former Republican governor of New Mexico, is relying heavily on the backing of young people and independent voters disillusioned with the two major parties’ nominees.

More than 70 percent of his backers are younger than 50, and over three-fifths are political independents, according to a mid-August poll by the Pew Research Center.

Over all, Mr. Johnson, who will be on the ballot in all 50 states, has the backing of 10 percent of registered voters, the Pew poll found.

Mr. Johnson’s coalition is relatively diverse, particularly compared with that of Donald J. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee.

Thirteen percent of Mr. Johnson’s backers are black or Latino, compared with just 6 percent for Mr. Trump.

And while just 42 percent of Mr. Trump’s supporters are women, the Pew center found that Mr. Johnson’s are evenly divided — 51 percent women, 49 percent men

You didn't want the LP to get on the ballot in 50 states.

And he's up in the polls.

You are confused. I merely pointed out that he was not on the ballot in all fifty states, contrary to your claim. He still isn't, by the way.

That's just a point of fact, not an opinion or a desire on my part.

Yep. I don't see that as a bad thing. Not sure why you think I do or should.

Gary was one toke over the line this morning:

Barnicle: “What would you do if you are elected about Aleppo?”

    Johnson: “And what is Aleppo?”

    Barnicle: “You’re kidding.”

    Johnson: “No.”

So, the guy whose platform includes non-intervention in the Middle East is unaware of a city in the Middle East? Uh...OK.

Probably not going to help elevate him over that meteor in the polls, but it doesn't make me think any less of him.

I agree. It's humorous, but no more disqualifying than '57 states'. Johnson has explained he heard it as as acronym, and couldn't figure out at that moment what ALEPO stood for.

Perhaps I'm splitting hairs, but I put "57 states" at a completely different level of ignorance. That's akin to those US Americans that Miss Teen South Carolina talked about so many years ago that can't find the United States on a map.

I suppose you might have a point if Johnson actually didn't know about Aleppo, and Obama actually thought there were 57 states. But neither case had anything to do with ignorance, they had to do with momentary brain farts.

I think Miss South Carolina was a bit different - more akin to stage fright mixed with actual ignorance and lack of preparation.

There were 57 primaries, he misspoke. There are more primaries than actual states because we let places like Washington DC, puerto rico and America Samoa have them. Personally I think we should have fewer primaries. 5 sounds about right.

I know geography fairly well and I had to look up Aleppo several months ago and see where it was exactly myself...I thought for sure it was Pinnochio's father. ..what Johnson probably wanted to say is...I won't be running for president of Aleppo anytime soon.

    http://reason.com/blog/2016/09/08/gary-johnson-in-double-digits-in-most-st

Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson will be on the ballot in all 50 states but will almost certainly not be on stage for the presidential debates that start at the end of September. And yet a new poll shows that the former governor of New Mexico is in double digits in no fewer than 42 states. In 15 of those states, he's at 15 percent or higher, the cut-off to get into the debates. Not surprisingly, he's at his highest—25 percent—in New Mexico, but he also pulls 23 percent in Utah and 19 percent in Alaska, Idaho, and South Dakota.

The poll was conducted online by the Washington Post and Survey Monkey between August 9 and September 1; about 75,000 registered voters participated. According to the poll's results, Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump in electoral votes by a tally of 244 to 126, with many traditionally Republican states (such as Texas) now in a "tossup" scenario. The Post notes that when Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein are included in the survey, the race tightens up but Clinton retains her advantage.

We'll see if the Aleppo thing hurts him. I don't see why it would.
