I meant in public places. Anything is debatable I suppose, some people think Hillary is a great choice for President. Potheads and people who smoke that shit once in a while are two different things. Plus, I've never had anyone pick a fight with me in my adult life so I don't know abot that.
Burglaries at licensed marijuana facilities have decreased! Marijuana stays in a person's body fat for weeks and can be detected. There is absolutely no causal relationship between marijuana use and crime.
Sorry, but this is a very naive view. If it were so simple, then recovery clinics would be unnecessary. Some people must learn that one is too many, there is no point at which too much exceeds moderation except when it is the same point. Telling the general population that using pot is ok (Gary Johnson) is ignorant just because he sees it that way. In reality, it is not ok for approximately 25%. The possibility of rehabilitation is poor for these people. When people compare the ills of Pot versus Alcohol it misses the point, neither enhance a person and so what, if the effects are different? They are not good. This is a hell of thing to tell kids, it's ok. Feeling superior because you only smoke pot instead drinking booze is ridiculous when both impair a person sooner than most realize. Ha! I always chuckle at the old saw by one of the old timers, Woody Guthrie or Will Rogers, Surprising how much wisdom there is in a glass of wine! Not so much in the bottle. Now if everyone could do as Further suggests, moderation! Fine, no problem. It doesn't work that way!
I did that job at the yacht club on Monterey bay one night. The stuart had to take a day off and asked if I would fill in. Sure, what the heck! Turn out to be more hectic than I could imagine and I got in trouble. This old fella and his wife came in and he ordered Uzo. Hell, I had no idea what it was, so I pored him a glass like it was wine, fixed her drink, what ever it was, and off they went to sit at a table. Some time later, she came over to the bar an chew my ass half off! I look over at the old boy, in his chair, head back on the wall, and looked very much like rigamortis was next. I learned a shot was his limit.
Hey my drug of choice is Glenfiddich neat or a Bulleit and soda, so it's not like I have some dog in the fight with marijuana -- it puts me up in my own head (so to speak), and I already spend way too much time there already. With respect to those stats, you probably should go a step further and break those out by demographics if you want them to tell you anything meaningful. Off-hand I can see a few ways that those aggregate numbers might not be accurately telling the story you think they are (race, economic status, other substances found on the perpetrator(s) besides marijuana, etc.).
I don't agree with you at all. I also don't really understand how anyone could ever come to that conclusion.. but to each their own.
Ah, the Scott's do know what the Glen is is about. I survived a huge Kidney stone with aid of the blessings of the Glen, until a machine arrived in town to blast the stone into sand pebbles. Now it takes some serious assistance to tolerate the pain a stone can bring, not much worse a man find. But when the stone was gone, it was time for the Glenfiddich to go with it. I will confess, I was into the second bottle of the Glenfiddich by the time the first load of sand was pissed out. Ha! my boss called right about that time to remind me I had this thing in New York the next day... I told him to GF himself and asked the wife to go get a backup supply.
Vapers are the worst, followed by: CrossFit people Audi drivers Vegans PC gamers Console gamers Guys who "roll coal" Electric car drivers Libertarians People who drink Soylent People who only drink local liquor Floater fans Pot smokers Alcoholics
OMG, rolling coal. That might need to be number one. On your list HCP clearly isn't a number 2 but is a number 3 last I heard.
when family asks me what I want for Xmas, birthday, father's day, etc...that's my go to answer...Glenfiddich
CAUTION: Correlation doesn't always equal causation. Marijuana is a big part of the inner-city culture, where much of the violence is committed. That certainly doesn't mean one causes the other.
True, but I was responding to the posters that tried to paint the picture that all pot smokers are mild mannered teddy bears, and most drinkers have anger management problems. (Slightly exaggerated for drama affect). Would it be safe to say that more violent crimes are committed by those under the influence of marijuana than those under the influence of alcohol? BTW, from my long past pot smoking experience, drinking alcohol makes all women prettier than a hot house flower, but I became way too stupid to seduce them. Smoking pot just made me darn horny. I became more sexually aggressive while on pot, which is not always a good thing. So from my experience, results are just the opposite of what many pot smokers are now saying about how it affects people.
