<div class="quote_poster">Blur Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I'm saying lol rumors are half of our conversations here, with the other half being game threads, and predictions.</div> Understood your point already, but obviously you didn't understand mine. Considering that we have 8 to 10 threads about the same subject, as the mod here, bro, you should've already noticed this and kept them all within the same thread. This forum is cluttered with Gasol rumor threads, which all could have been kept in one single discussion since it all revolves around the same rumored player. Merge the threads into one, or lock them all and keep the freshest one open.

I'm just going to put the post from now on in here, the posts would all get jumbled together, if we merged them all in here at this point.
Thanks. Don't think I'm being ignorant or anything, I respect your opinion as anyone else's, but this subject has gone out of hand.
Go for Gasol? Garnett? Stand pat? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">So you want to be Bulls general manager John Paxson, eh? Sure, you'd have the great memories of those shots, a great job, and even a crewcut at 46 that seems to work. And then you'd have a heck of a decision to make. Do you make a bold move to trade for the Grizzlies' Pau Gasol, which would cost you some very good players, maybe Luol Deng, Ben Gordon or Kirk Hinrich, or do you take a pass? Deng, Gordon and Hinrich have been playing very well for a Bulls team that has beaten the Mavericks, the Pistons, the defending champion Heat three times and the Spurs.</div> Source
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> The Bulls, as I might've mentioned recently in this space, have the prerequisite enticement to snare Gasol. While I have no reason to think VP John Paxson will modify his steadfast opposition to swap Luol Deng and Ben Gordon (along with P.J. Brown's expiring $8.56M contract) for the answer to his team's offensive paint prayers, there sure seems to be plenty of negotiating room. That's because the Bulls and their decision makers (I assume chairman Jerry Reinsdorf has some say in momentous personnel matters) own other desirable, exchangeable pieces, namely Andres Nocioni, Kirk Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas and Thabo Sefolosha. I suspect (strictly educated speculation) Memphis may be amenable to accepting one of the above players in place of Gordon or Deng. At the same time, I'm convinced a Gasol (plus Hakim Warrick) deal cannot happen unless one of those two (in addition to a first-rounder in the '08 or '09 draft, not this June) is included. </div> Read more...
PG-Kirk Hinrich 6’3 SG-Ben Gordon 6’2 SF-Luol Deng 6’9 PF-Pau Gasol 7’0 C-Ben Wallace 6’9 VS PG-Devin Harris 6'3 SG-Jason Terry 6'2 SF-Josh Howard 6'7 PF-Dirk Nowitzki 7'0 C-Erick Dampier 6'11 Who wins? The thing is if we trade for Gasol i really want to keep Noc (a core player), Thomas, and Sefolosha, but i dont know. A lot of people want us to trade Noc or Deng but our bench points get worse. I still think we could get away with P.J. Brown, Chris Duhon, our pick (in which they could get a good shooting guard), a big such as Mike Sweetney, Malik Allen, Viktor Khryapa, and future picks.
<div class="quote_poster">I-Miss-MJ Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">They'd have to be pretty desperate to pull off that trade.</div> lol. i think its the 22nd
<div class="quote_poster">michiganave17 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I say trade noch victor is ready to step up anyway duhon noch Brown</div> Viktor is ready to leave you mean. He's been wanting out for months.
<div class="quote_poster">M Two One Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Viktor is ready to leave you mean. He's been wanting out for months.</div> he just wants more time and after noch is gone he will get those minutes
<div class="quote_poster">michiganave17 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">he just wants more time and after noch is gone he will get those minutes</div> Viktor is weak on the defensive end. He doesn't know how to draw contact correctly. He can be a good offensive threat, but I don't know if you seen that he's been interviewed by Chicago Tribune a while back. The man said he wants out indefinitely.
He's not asking for a trade, he wants to be waived. So you know he has a lot of interest by other teams these days. Russian teams specifically want him, but he won't go there.
<div class="quote_poster">I-Miss-MJ Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">They'd have to be pretty desperate to pull off that trade.</div> Also with Jerry West selling his home in Memphis, firing the coach, waiving Eddie Jones, and Gasol wanting out, Gasol is gone by the deadline. Memphis is not going to sell a team when they have a player on the team that wants 2 be traded. Which means that right now i only c 2 contenders that could get him are Orlando and Chicago. Orlando really imo is keeping Jameer Nelson, Dwight Howard, and Trevor Ariza (hurt) They have Grant Hill, Hedu Turkoglu, J.J. Redick, Kenyon Dooling, and Darko Grant Hill and P.J Brown - Both expiring contracts Hedu Turkoglu is a great player but at almost 28. Would Memphis rather have Hedu or get a 10th-14th pick (shooting guard or small forward) who would average more than 15 ppg in the future? J.J. Redick has a good future ahead of him but will J.J. be too similiar to Mike Miller. Kenyon Dooling is a good player but does he bring more than Duhon. Darko been on 2 good teams Detroit and Orlando heard Orlando wants to trade him, if so wut make Memphis think he will do great there if he could help out 2 good teams. Also Darko thinks hes worth 60 million. Mike Sweetney has been very disappointing in Chicago. Viktor Khryapa an ok role player if given minutes. Also Chicago has other future picks and 2nd round picks we dont want nor do we need them. This is y i think Paxson can trade without involving core players.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Insiders say Memphis keeps dropping its asking price for Pau Gasol, suggesting owner Michael Heisley has told Jerry West to forget fair value and slash the payroll. The Grizzlies reportedly asked Chicago for Ben Gordon, Luol Deng and the Knicks' No. 1 pick, which the Bulls own. Now Memphis is down to Deng or Gordon plus another young player such as Thabo Sefolosha, P.J. Brown's expiring contract and a 2009 first-rounder. Insiders say a few losses may bring the Bulls around. They just eked out a win in Seattle to go 1-1 on this seven-game West Coast trip, so stay tuned.</div> Read more...
