Who are you even talking to? I swear some of you guys picture this hypothetical hater fan and then talk shit to him. "Booya bitch! Take that! We win again! Take that hater mother fucker!!!!"
Don't ruin this for me. I picture mags in his living room, watching the game, going on 15 minute rants about the "haters." He might even break a few things. "Yeah mother fucker, that's right LA, you hit that shot! In your face haters! You don't know shit haters! Blazers baby!"
All I know is The HCP said we would take over the #4 spot from Houston by the end of the season and a bunch on here claimed he was crazy! At this time tomorrow night, we will only be percentage points behind them FAMS! Made up like 4.5 or 5 games on them in a week!
I love you. Just so we're clear, saying "No win is a given" is much, much different than saying "a loss is a given". That's just silly talk to say we're going to obviously win or obviously lose. There's always going to be a gray area. Apparently that gets lost in translation sometimes, but I know where I stand. I'll always go to a game hoping for a win, the percentage of that always fluctuates though. Doesn't make me any less of a fan than you or the next person. I've just learned that an expectation could be a resentment waiting to happen, so I just learn to temper them.
I promote the free-fall of the Rockets and Clippers! Houston Fail: Clippers Fail: . . . *BONUS CLIPPER FAIL!*
http://www.houstonchronicle.com/spo...be-wise-to-sit-until-playoffs-for-5360580.php Is it possible Houston wants to stay #4 and play us in the 1st rd? They won't say how bad Dwight's ankle is. Even if they slipped to #5, they may feel they don't need HCA to beat us.
I dunno...i don't think any team would feel that _NOT_ having HCA would be a good thing (especially if they HAD it and lost it)...If i'm Houston and I lose HCA to us I'm going to fear every game in the Moda Center cause we are going to ride that momentum pretty hard. This team would love nothing more than to get out of round one...HCA in this series I think makes it 60/40 (at least) for the Home team.
Friday, April 4th, 2014 Games To Watch (Games Updated Throughout Comments)- Portland vs. Phoenix Root For: Trail Blazers Reason: Trail Blazers continue their chase for Home Court Advantage Memphis vs. Denver Root For: Nuggets Reason: A Trail Blazers win and Grizzlies loss all but assures Portland of finishing ahead of Memphis in the standings Houston vs. Oklahoma City Root For: Thunder Reason: For Portland to catch Houston for the no. 4 seed, this HAS to be a Thunder win. Golden State vs. Sacramento Root For: Kings Reason: Would love a three-game cushion on the Warriors for the No. 5 seed. Dallas @ Los Angeles Lakers Root For: Lakers Reason: The more the Lakers win, the less ping pong balls they earn in the lottery
I'm with NateBishop on not wanting to play Houston in the playoffs. Are we better off dropping to 6th and facing the Clippers?
I think LAC will be gifted a 2nd round berth with whomever they play, I think. I'd rather face Houston... the lesser of the two evils, IMO.
