Hurt his knee pretty bad last night. Probably doubtful for the last few games.

I am really curious to see what injury does for HOU in the playoffs...Bev come back, but his claim to fame is staying in front of fast PGs...with no surgery to repair a torn meniscus can a guy go 110% in a playoff intensity and move about like he has been? If no and he's just 80% i dont see him keeping in front of Dame. If he doesnt keep in front of Dame then there is no point him being out there (other than to help the Blazers since we can go around him and he doesn't score much). DW hasn't played in a bit...hopefully there is some rust or lingering up and down effects. I know HOU is fast, but if DW is in I think we can push and try some more FB offense to get some advantage.

Well, here's the thing, with his injury Beverley is going to rely that much more on his hand checking and holding. So if the refs continue to not call it, he could be a real fucking problem for Dame.

One good Meyers Leonard pick, and he'll be going home in a stretcher.

...and by pick I mean fucking suplex.

Ok, why is it SO easy to picture this happen in the flow of the game, no big deal, defensive rebound leans to transition...Dame brings it up the court and Bev is waiting and the half. Meyers runs up to him like he's going to set a pick out there then just picks him up and goes all Zangief on him.

What is the official word on Beverly's injury? Haven't heard anything since they announced he wasn't getting surgery.

And if I'm not mistaken, Dame and Beverly squared off in each others face each meeting this season. Can't wait of for this matchup.

Why does this make me worry that Beverley will end up injuring Dame? He's done it before.

I think you could get banned for saying injury and any Blazer's name here.

We should sign Odom just to sacrifice him to the gods of injury.

Repped for dropping a Zangief reference in a basketball forum.

Beverly will be so full of cortisone that even if his meniscus falls off, he probably won't feel a thing. Beverly's game is to psych out players, looks like he's getting to the fans as well. No reason to fear this guy. He's a one trick pony and he's going down! Bring it on! Sweep the Rockets!

Well, so far he's owned Dame, so we do have reason to worry. If he's doing it within the rules of the game, then that's fair. However, the handchecking and the flopping are specifically not allowed and should be called.

He isn't doing it in within the rules though. That's the problem. The refs allow him to play extremely physical defense with Lillard and they don't call it.
