Repp'd. Oden made some very ignorant statements about my town. That's why I'm not a fan and will not root for him.

He knew he'd be drafted by Portland or Seattle. When a player (in any sport) enters a draft, it's with the knowledge that it probably means relocating. Sure, you have spoiled brat Kobe Bryant coming snot nosed out of high school and saying he'll only play in LA, but everyone else relocates. The city rolled out the welcome mat. They were ready to fall down and worship. When Oden missed his first year, everyone said bummer, but he'll be back and worth waiting for. The city of Portland gave Oden every opportunity to be loved.

On the nose. Even after the 2nd microfracture, people in Portland were a little miffed by the unfortunate turn of events, especially after seeing the pre-season game against Sacramento where it seemed like everything clicked and we had the makings of a special elite team, with Greg dominating and the Spaniards playing circus-ball. But they were still embracing him as a member of the team, and hopeful for the future.

Greg was down to earth, wasn't really all that comfortable with the super-attention afforded a megastar, but he also didn't want to be ignored, and wanted to be in HIS element. Portland, it seems, wasn't his element.

it was like an arranged marriage for him and portland

portland was smitten and would have happily pleasured him orally without complaint until death

oden thought he could fool himself into falling in love but never did

    hence the abomination of divorce

I know that if I was in his position I would've got pretty depressed too. Yes, even rich people get depressed. Yes, even rich people become alcoholics. Can't blame him for wanting a fresh start. What's he supposed to do? Kill himself? If a team's foolish enough to gamble on him, it's on them. Look at Philly with Bynum. And now Cleveland...

That was the greatest Blazers exhibition game I've been to. It was the first for me as a season ticket holder and it was Greg's first game with the team at home....it was a magical night. Everyone played their role.

I don't know if I would say it really "fixes" it. MF can help produce the soft fibrocartilage, but your likely not getting the hard hyaline cartilage back. I had a form MF 17 years ago and I guess it helped for a short time with high school sports even though I was never comfortable enough jumping off that knee again. I can't imagine being a professional athlete with it. Obviously on a totally different note, last year the area they did MF on 17 years earlier was never really too successful, and became 2.5x2.5 centimeter hole that was filled with the fibrocartilage. There were several options to fill the hole, but only one that included getting the hyaline cartilage back, and that was a transplant from a donor knee that had the hyaline cartilage already on it. I waited 8 months for that piece to come in, and now I'm 6 weeks post surgery, hoping for good results when i can walk again.

Just my experience with MF, Dr. Pennington, and trying to research it. What kind of link you want John?

Oden was going to announce it today, but he sneezed and then stubbed his toe on his way to the microphone. Poor guy blew out his knee again.
