This is my rifle, this is my gun! This is for fighting, this is not used a lot so I need a bigger one!
Yeah, but I could be wrong, but .22 have large clips in general and work with more gun types. Hand guns, rifles, etc.
For a first gun I would buy a .22 long rifle. That’s what ranch kids start out with, newbie adults are no different. Shoot it and get used to the feel of a gun so you’re not a twitchy spaz. After that you will need: A hunting rifle - Take your pick, 30-06 is a great start and ammo is readily available. 12 gauge pump shotty - Get a long one you hunt birds with, short “home defense” ones are not necessary and are useless beyond the living room. I’ve got Mossberg that I really like. Handgun - Take your pick. I like .40 cal.
Smith and Wesson Sport II AR15 - nice midlevel semi-auto for 600$. Less recoil then a handgun, 40 clip mags.
Also @EL PRESIDENTE needs a gun that can fit in a murse. Preferably something made by Gucci. Style points are just as important as kill points.
AR15’s are a little “showy” IMO. Most dorks don’t need lasers, flashlights, night scopes and all that shit on a heavy ass gun. Mini-14 is the business. Fires the same .223 round, same capacity, better scope and a comfy rifle stock. All business without the BS. Much more useful than a “cool” looking gun (even though it looks pretty cool lol).
