I like the light on the shotgun, it can irritate the eye of an intruder + you can see who it is, like they said.
For personal car defense, was also thinking of getting those audible alarms that you pull the pin out of. Thinking being that if you get surrounded, you pull a pin out and throw it out the window, and that may surprise/distract/annoy people and you can speed away. 6 pack of 140db alarms is like $19 on Amazon. Another option: My eardrums are already fucked from years of heavy bass in my car.
if somebody is really serious about a gun for personal security, you can't just buy the gun, fire it a couple of times, put it in a drawer, and hope you can operate it in an emergency you need to actually practice, not only shooting, but basic carry & operation. You need to be familiar with the gun otherwise you may as well be pulling a cheese grater out of the drawer. Those can leave a nasty scar by the way
I keep one in my truck...if somebody hits you and it bends the fender against the tire you can pop it back out and drive away
I have what I personally think is one of the cooler things you could have for this purpose. (Maybe not yours so much River. lol) I have half of a foosball rod. Complete with the handle on end. Swings super easy, but is extremely solid and can kill if need be(hits on the head). Unlike a baseball bat, I only need one hand, and Ill take anyone on who has a bat any day. I already know I can get three to four swings in to anyone's single swing.
