I had a friend in high school who had the same thing happen. They had to put a metal rod in his leg, but he ended up being able to join the Army after school and went on to serve. I know your kid will recover and have a bright future.
Seems like an illogical idea at this point. Plenty of time to get a coaching or broadcasting education, and Dad has the contacts.
You heard wrong. I'm part Cherokee and I had to compete for everything I got. If your referring to Senator Warren, maybe you could recount a single incident where her claim got her anything except endless derision from our classless President.
Really sorry to hear that John. Always like seeing your posts about your kids, and other peoples' as well, to see the proud parents we have on here. Brutal thing to get taken away from him. Here's hoping he's still able to parlay some of his earlier success into free schooling
@HCP Hope this doesnt come across as creepy. I saw a couple injuries recently and it got me thinking I wonder how your sons doing with his rehab? Hope all is well.
Thinking of others when they are not in your presence is a blessing for those who are thought of. - dviss1
Tough deal but he’s s tough young man who I’m sure will get stronger physically and mentally on his road to recovery. By the way HCP, shouldn’t jr just go lowercase “hcp”
Not creepy at all bro. Thanks for asking. Ya been a tough 6 weeks. After a month he got his leg checked out and they put a new cast on him. Just had the 2nd cast taken off yesterday and is now in a walking boot, but can't put any weight or pressure on it for at least 2 more weeks. Then it's off to rehab. He is going to crush rehab, it's his head we are still concerned about. Has a real tight group of friends and a lot of support. Grades are better than normal, so who knows. It was tough, we had to take his PSU and Lewis and Clark visits with a cast and a scooter. Good kid, hoping everything turns out. Thanks again for checking.
...he injured his head too? Or you just mean his mental state? CTE is a scary thing if you were referring to actual head trauma!
Right, I was thinking the same thing. Then I saw how many of the athletes were wearing them at his school. Cool kids! Back in the day it was just the smelly hippies.
The toughest kid I know wears them. He's in 4th grade. Puts them on right after practice. It's fucking HILARIOUS! I joke with his dad about them all the time.
