True enough. Sometimes, we'd all jump into a pickup. The place was such a pick-up joint you'd never know what vehicle you'd end up in!

My son has been taking my granddaughter to the Newberg drive in since she was 3-4 years old. She’s now 12 and still absolutely loves it. They order a pizza from Abby’s and get to the drive in early so the granddaughter can play with the rest of the kids running around till dark. It’s high quality time for them, along with being relatively inexpensive. I hope they can afford to keep it going.

It was a good thing the cars were bigger in the ‘60’s and 70’s. It never ceased to amaze me just how many guys we could cram into the trunk in order to save money......at least until they started checking the trunks of teenage drivers........

That stuff you toss out in order to make room in the cup for the rum.

If it hasn’t already been noticed or noted, Showtime is free until April 19th. I for one appreciate that......

I used to get pneumonia every winter as a kid. - Fun Times - Anyways, I remember one year they mis-diagnosed me with something else, and had me on these medications that weren't helping and just making everything worse. I have vivid memories of playing Super Mario 3 during that time, I remember it so well because the screen looked like ...

A man stands on the corner of Broadway and Alder in Portland, Oregon late on a Friday night. A policeman stops his car and asks the man what he's doing. The man replies that he must be the first one there. The policeman asks him what he means by that.
The man replies "Well, I went to this party where everyone was introduced and we made light conversation. Then the hostess turns off the lights and says for us all to take off our clothes and go to town. I must be the first one here."

Man, you had a bad case of pneumonia.
I use to get strep throat every summer. At that time I could tolerate penicillin. I had lots of penicillin shots. Now, I'm allergic to the stuff.
Had pneumonia once after a nightmare weekend traveling out of town. Had to have my car repaired but couldn't do it because the garage couldn't fix a Volvo. Stayed with a penniless friend who couldn't afford heat and put me in a bed that was pretty hard with only a sheet for a blanket and the bed was tilted slightly. My feet were uphill from my head. Spent most of the night trying to keep my car going by constantly getting out and fiddling with the distributor which was broken. Spent hours trying to get to my friend;s drafty old house in Corvallis. Woke up with strep throat and later found out I had pneumonia. Couldn't take penicillin t that time. Can't remember what the doc gave me.

Another time while trying to move out of my apartment after graduating from college, my roommate moved out and left me with his half of the deposit. That left me to clean the whole apartment by myself and get everything ready to be moved. I spent the entire night cleaning and boxing stuff. Got bad strep throat that night. The next morning a friend from Portland showed up with a U-Haul moving van. I was in such bad shape that had to sit in the back of the building hiding from my friend because I couldn't handle any more moving. My friend loading the van and took off. Then during the walkthru the landlord pulled the stove back and found an ancient mess that he made me clean up even though it was made be some previous tenant. Went to the student infirmary and got seen by a doc who gave me a shot and some penicillin derivative pills to take on a scheduale. Another guy came in there with strep throat. After the doc saw him and just before I left he said to the other patient "Oh, you're not bad. See the other guy?" and he pointed to me "now he's sick". One of the worst days of my life of which I've had many.

I think the weather starting to turn to rain and cold will keep most indoors. It was so beautiful this past week. Everybody was wanting to get outside.
My son got home from school in LA this past Thursday and has basically been hunkered down in his room playing video games and watching movies ever since.
My daughter is going nuts, not being able to get out and play soccer. She just went on a run.
Both including my wife and I have been taking the dogs on walks and that's about it. Other than store runs, we have been chillin. This new stay at home order is pretty much what we have been doing all along.
