Changes? How? No draft picks, no cap space, very limited trade assets, a GM with life-time job security, and a coach almost as secure. There is no way forward other than to burn it down and start over - and we all know that ain't happening!
They always find ways. Those teams find ways to add guys they shouldn't be able to afford. I expect him to land in SoCal. Even if he doesn't, I see no reason to believe he'll re-sign with the Blazers.
The problem with that he might be going too. Olshey don't like players that talk touch and Nurk sometimes speaks his mind.
Also, No more offense only players because they can't play with Dame (and CJ, who if I had to guess will still be on this roster next season). Melo, Kanter etc.
I'm not ready to blow it up yet. although that might depend on whether Powell would agree to stay if we get rid of Stotts and CJ. Also might depend on whether CJ still has some trade value; I think he might. Would probably take CJ, a draft pick and Little to get a decent return. I'm not sure if you can sit on the fence and hope Little will be just as good as someone we will get. Has to happen immediately. If Nuk is willing to accept some coaching, I think he can be a good player; otherwise, not. So, some tough decisions.
I think he's wrong/confused. I believe Nurks 4th yr has a "team" option with only 4 mil guaranteed IF the team decides not to exercise that option before by July 1
Bottom line is trade Dame or get a GM in here with Big Balls and go for it. RoCo being the biggest move we’ve made in the past 5 years is pathetic.
