I really don't think you can measure Michael Vick's value in statistics, but if you are right.. then Vick is one of the worst QB's in the NFL and now that he's gone the Falcons offense should be improved or the same. Right?

I guess we will see about that..

Joey Harrington is not bad. He's going to do as well as Schaub would have.

Harringtons numbers are even worse....btw, the QB rating that every uses and seems to accept is an effeciency rating, so no matter what system a QB runs, the rating should give an accurate measurement....I dont know how much I buy into the ratings, but I see the numbers and they arent good....

QBs win games from the pocket....btw, last season when Vick "rushed for 1000 yards", his actual net yards carrying the football was closer to 700....yet another exagerated Vickism

I don't think it's overstated to say that Vick has been the best rushing QB. He was credited for 1039 yards last season. Are you saying that the negative yardage from sacks that go against team passing should somehow be reflected in his rushing stats? In any case his rushing is clearly his biggest strength as a NFL player and should not be overlooked when evaluating him as a QB. Mcnabb, Culpepper, even Steve Young would not have been as successful without the ability and willingness to run the ball.

Yes, those should count, especially the ones where he was running with the football with no intention of passing but got caught behind the line....the other QBs you mentioned use thier wheels to make plays in the passing game by keeping plays alive and then throwing the ball, they only tuck and run after exhausting all chances to make a play in the passing game....that makes them good QBs....being the best running QB is like being the prettiest pig in the barnyard....no matter how pretty, its still a pig....you can get away with that crap in college, or if you have a time machine to go back to pre-merger NFL times, but in todays NFL, points come from the passing game and you must play QB from the pocket 1st if you are to have success....if you dont beleive that, look at the win/loss record for the "best running QB" in the past 50 years and the effeciency rating he has established....the only place hes a real threat to win you a championship is on your fantasy team, where his rushing stats do pile up....

I'd rather have LT's passing stats than Vick's rushing yds. rofl.
