<div class="quote_poster">Chuck Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Let's blame Greg Oden.</div> ****, even Greg Oden himself was injured. That is kind of an interesting point though. I think that some teams are actually tanking, like the Sixers, whereas other teams are legitimate competitors but just legitimately suck, like the Grizzlies. They rushed Pau Gasol back from his injury so that they could be competitive. Even tonight when he put up 29 points and 7 rebounds shooting 12 for 16, he was playing hurt. Hey, can you really blame the tankers though? That's how you win titles. Just ask the Spurs.
I'm just going to laugh when Oden stays in college and screws over all these teams that are tanking early. Even though I don't think he stays, it'd be humorous.

I've been following the draft like a hawk for about eight or nine years now, and this year's draft projects to be the most talented I've ever seen (well, at least at the top), thanks in large part to the '06 high school class that was packed with future NBA All-Stars. In any other year since I've been following the draft, except the LeBron draft of 2003, Kevin Durant would be the #1 pick. So with that said, there's no reason to doubt that teams would have reason to tank. If you're not going to compete for a title this season and don't have a bright future, why not drop one of your stars, make a bad trade, and wind up getting a legit superstar who can turn around your team?
Yeah, injuries have been pretty terrible. Although you might make an arguement that those like Grant Hill who are notorious for injuries have been injury free so far... *knocks on wood* IT makes for a very challenging Fantasy Basketball Season.
Doesn`t the injury bug not only hurt the players, but the NBA too? Like the ticket sales and viewers for national televised games? It`s something that really hurts the NBA`s front office too I guess.
<div class="quote_poster">Umair Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Lets blame the new ball.</div> I said that in my head, I scroll down, and see that you said the exact same thing

I don't know much about Durant but over TD? Yao Ming in 2002? Dwight in 2004? Pau Gasol 2001? Elton Brand 1999? Vince Carter 1998? Tmac? Is Durant really good, I'm checking out his profile, they are saying he could be similar to a Tmac or KG.
