My understanding is Manchin has coal investments and Biden's green push is anti coal....it comes down to money

Term limits would help. Just my opinion
These congressional seats were not made to be life long power trip careers.

It comes down to corruption. Joe Manchin is a bought and paid for senator. Even the late night shows joke about how corrupt Manchin and Sinema are.

If the democrats can't force corrupt members out of their party, they must be fine with their corruption. Simple as that, imo.

Not quite. McCain voted to not take something away. Manchin is doing opposite.

I get it, my point was they both stopped something their party wanted. Maybe the days of bipartisan support in congress are over?

Now the story is democrat dysfunction if he switched parties it would be republican obstruction. Manchin is also now playing the victim and upset over the mean progressives bully tactics which is agitating the situation. I think his goal is to blow up the Democratic party from the inside. He hasn't negotiated in good faith from day one and this whole situation has been completely predictable.

Democrat leadership owns a lot of the blame though. They have been quite happy to marginalize progressives over and over to the point where they feel lied to an completely unrepresented in the party, progressives also get scapegoated for all the Dems failures. It's not a healthy relationship and will probably end in republicans seizing power for good this time.

Not as if they had a choice. With absolutely no candidate in the Democratic Party having any chance of winning a fair election against POTUS TRUMP, the Deep State needed a puppet they could install by fraud but still completely control. Biden has been a monstrous success, everything they could hope for.

Your post is offensive, very racist, and ridiculously fictional.

Disclaimer: MARIS61 is a fictional character. A farcical trope of the far right. He feeds off the indignation born from triggered reactions to his self delusional posts. Don't feed the Maris.

Actually they can force corrupt members out of their jobs....it's against the law to represent your state and practice corruption....they can't make them leave the party but they can silence them from within if they can prove corruption

I read that today....hopefully they succeed...apparently he wants the ACA to exclude people making over 200K and people who are not working. He seems like a guy who's going to bail on his party soon

West Virginia is a very poor state. Machine is a multimillionaire. He voted for tax cuts for the rich without care about deficit but $300 for working families? He's ready to sabotage a president of his party to stop it.
