The Recession has already started. Anyone who might not think it has probably isn't paying attention. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/06/09/rec...t-half-2023-the-dow-is-headed-lower-cfos.html
Not a reasonable option for America without re-designing the way American cities are currently built. LA is the most dense city in California. It's population density is a fifth of the density in, say, Paris. NYC is the most dense city in the US and it's density is about twice as much as LA, which still means it less than 1/2 of the density of Paris. The size of public transportation that would be required in the US to handle the physical size of our cities makes it an unreasonable option. It will cost too much. Much better to invest in charging infrastructure and converting the fleet to electric.
Or getting re-elected, or... Biden and the democrats aren't trying to "save" America, as we are all led to believe.
He may try to portray himself as such, but Biden is no populist. Biden works for Wall street, not main street. Neither are the democrats a populist party. They work for our military industrial complex, wall street, billionaires, etc. . The American people, not so much these days. America has two parties, and they are both pro-war as well as pro-corporation. When Biden and the democrats can do as the republicans do: send more money to our department of defense every year, while Americans sleep on our sidewalks, parks, etc. . You see that their priorities aren't with American citizens. The "party of the people" died decades ago. Biden's approval rating is now lower than Trump's was at this time in his presidency. Personally, I don't see Biden winning a second term. And, sadly, I also don't see the democrats doing anything to deserve our votes either.
