Kaman is out again tonight for a sprained ankle. At least that is what i read earlier. This makes 2 of the last 3 games he is sitting. The Guy is not made to start for 6 weeks anymore. These stats are showing that he is indeed slowing down. Kaman will be very valuable this year in the end. They simply need to keep his minutes down. Developing Meyers Leonard will only help Kaman get the rest he needs to have him available for the next injury if it does indeed happen.

When the 2 weeks was up they said at least 2 more weeks so I am guessing shortly after the all star break

Agree completely. Kaman's body can't take the amount of work he's been getting. Thankfully, Meyers is coming on, and Freeland is coming back. I'd like to see Kaman get just enough minutes to keep him rested and sharp for the playoffs, and really feature Meyers and Freeland to get them ready for the playoffs.

Kaman has been dealing with lower back strain and a knee contusion but had to play through them when he was thrust into the starting lineup...he just needs rest and limited minutes until the playoff push. It's great that Leonard is blossoming and at just the right time. Joel will be back soon and we have 6 bigs. Leonard is a fast pace big and Kaman is strictly half court. It'll come down to matchups in the post season. Kaman has been the first guy to meet Meyers coming off court and give him advice...he's earning his check. The playoffs will slow the game down which suits Kaman. Kaman also plays much much better with Blake feeding him than he does with Nico..that's just chemistry. Nico works better with Rolo and Freeland. We just need to get back healthy and have guys playing where they belong. Kaman has helped us have the record we have and just because he's beat up now, I'm not throwing him under the bus. He is and always was a rental for the team.

Another great game. His passing is so underrated. I trust him more than anyone on the team to make the right pass.

Real question; is Meyers the best pure shooter on the team?

His emergence basically guarantees that the Blazers don't pick up Kaman's option this summer.

    Biebs needs 20-25 mpg.

If he can develop defensively and in the low post, him and LA will be a nightmare for teams to match up against. I know he can develop a post game. His touch is good from everywhere.

I doubt there's a better 3pt shooting big man, better passing or faster down the court than Meyers right now. Stotts in his rookie season said he could become a young Shawn Kemp talent.

As i watched tonight i was thinking that Leonard is going to become lights out from deep in the next 2-3 years. This guy is going to become a very real threat to score.

That is a pretty good comparison. Neither are/were true centers, but when you have a 7 footer who can spread the floor and is a solid passer, it really opens things up for everyone else. Leonard is giving us what we wanted from Hawes. Ironically Hawes is not providing that for the Clippers.

I think his ceiling is higher than that. I actually think Pau Gasol with a 3pt shot is a decent comp. High bball IQ, passing, shooting, rebounding. I really think leonard will eventually develop a deadly low post game. Only question I have with Leonard is defensively.
